    The Blind Side

I watched The Blind Side last night, the one about Michael Oher. Excellent movie! Be aware that this is a movie about a Christian family adopting a troubled boy, it is nonetheless a PG-13 movie for some of the subject matter and some potty mouth.

Here's a full review of it by Plugged In which I find to be an excellent source for in-depth reviews:

Oh, I listed this movie as the last movie that made me cry. Can't explain it. I just did. Maybe because I was so moved that a conservative Christian would be portrayed as being charitable. If it wasn't a true story, you know Hollywood never would have written that twist, 'cause we all know conservatives have no heart

Football, adoption and a (subtle) Christian subplot. That's a nice combination to me
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Definitely a change from using Southerners to portray whackos and criminals. Why do you think Hollywood does that, because of Southerner's Christian traditions?

Sandra Bullok was excellent. Maybe she had to do some of the other movies of late to get that part in Blind Side? Other stuff she'd done lately was terrible.

This is one of my brother's favorite movies. I also enjoy the Blindside, especially since I'm a football fan. I would love to have my dad own 83 Taco Bells, and to get free food there.
