    Super Bowl picks.

Okay I know that the NFL preseason doesn't start for 2 months, but I pick up two magazine that both pick the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl ! Because all of us Minnesota Vikings fans, know it is our year just as long as we get Brett Favre back. So my deepest regret for all of Cowboys fans. Both magazine pick the other team to win it all. So I was wondering who you think will be in the Super Bowl? I'm picking the Minnesota Vikings over the San Diego Chargers.

What, no Lions! When are people gonna start given' us some love? (maybe when we win more than 2 games. )

"Oh, Lord give me a tranquil heart with peace and endurance until football starts anew."

I haven't thought a lot about predictions yet, but I'll be shocked if the Vikings sniff the Superbowl this year. Everything went right for "Favre and Friends" last year, and I don't see that happening again. Live in the Detroit area. My friend and I have season tickets for the Lions. No game is quite as "interesting" as our annual home game against the Vikes. Dude in the purple swag and the long blond braids with the viking horned helmet, drunk and belligerent, turning around and giving all of us D fans the double-single finger salute - in our own home - was the topper. We road trip to an away game each year. Last year we went to Green Bay. I never appreciated all the drama that came on when people would just say "The Frozen Tundra" or "Lambeau" with all the thick homage

But it was a great experience. My big take away from Green Bay was, they hate themselves some Minnesota. Oh, they hate them some Minnesota! And I could tell, while Favre was a nice cherry on the sunday, that hate ran deep in their blood for a long time before.

Haven't really considered it yet, so I want to give it some thought before I weigh in with predictions. (I know everyone on this board is waiting for me to give them ) Want to see where holes are filled. As a Vikings fan, you better hope Green Bay didn't shore up that horrid offensive line.

Starting to get the shakes. c-c-c-can't wait for f-f-f-f-football
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

The Cowboys got scammed by a rookie GM. They gave away the farm for a headcase in Williams! :P How's that workin' out? They took the gas-pipe courtesy of my Lions, and that gives me particular satisfaction.

    Death to "America's team"!

I not that worry about the Green Bay Packers. I probably should be, but I figure we will split the two games with them this year. But as for your Lions give them a year or two, and they wil be a contender.

In every other aspect of my life, I'm quite mentally stable. But with football, I have a real split personality disorder. One of me is always hopeful, especially in August. But by the end of September that "me" has caught up with the other "me" and we both agree that the Lions are adding 1 more year to their 53 year drought.

So, if this thread picks up, you'll see me thump my chest about them here and there. You'll also see me seriously mock my Lions a lot! At best, the Lions are laughed at. At worst, their so insignificant, the rest of the NFL fans forget they even exist. They're a non-factor.

Detroit seems to be the whipping boy for Minnesota these days. Can't beat 'em in baseball. Not in the same league with them in the NFL.

Jets and Cowboys are obvious. I love to hate me some Cowboys, but that would present an interesting story with them hosting the Game this year in their new stadium. The Jets are logical, but I haven't heard many people talk about the Saints repeating.

Oh, and them Lions! Look out for them!

Hey Mike, I used to be a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, but when they got TO, a couple of years ago I gave up on them. I honestly forgot about the New Orlean Saints, plus can't leave out the New England Patriots.

I can honestly see the Detroit Lions winning about 4-6 games this years which sad to is an improvement for your team.
