Obama has appointed many controversial people to himself, from the 9/11 Truther Van Jones to The Science Czar, who wants to sterilize women and make obortions mandatory, and not to mention the guy who wants animals to have lawers, as well as Kevin Jennings, who, when confronted with a boy who said he was feeling suicidal after having a sexual relationship with a teacher, said as his only point of advice to the boy, "Did you wear a condom?"
Allegations that Obama has been hanging around such people his whole life, and that he is confortable around these people, have been dismissed by some as mere coincidences, even as another radical is appointed, Anita Dunn, the new communications director. Dunn said that her favorite political philosophers are "Mao Tse Tung and Mother Theresa." Clearly using Mother Theresa to water down her admiration for Mao, she seemed able to fool the high school students who she addressed in her speech. Dunn said that these two people are the ones whom she turned to most, and she quoted Mao with much admiration and an air of respect, failing to mention that he killed 70 million of his own people in a violent bloodbath.
Dunn has been defended as having been "joking" that Mao was her favorite philosopher, but she mentioned Mao and Mother Theresa within the same breath, and quoted both of them together. Was she joking about Mother Theresa as well? She even went into a detailed and completely serious explanation of why she holds both Mao and Mother Teresa in high regard in the context of perseverance and choosing one’s own path.
