I live in Perth. ( a city of almost 2 million(we have them on a nearby golf course) they are only a pest to farmers. can be huge culls needed. Green voters dont like it.

What do kanga’s taste like ?

I hear they taste a lot like McDonald’s.

Biblical knowledge is a little competitive ive noticed. Some like to show one upmanship scoring points over the less literate.
For me the more impressive Biblical scholar will minimise verse quoting and maximise fostering respectful relations.
Im going through a low motivational phase at the moment being less interested in the Bible. But my pov is that its not the one and only answer to all my problems.
Im more interested in getting to know people here whatever their labels are.
Share a laugh maybe or just learn about a different perspective.
It is a shame that some come looking for a fight . whatever that might look like. Im not.
If you want to laugh, He Is Risen will get you there. She often opens light hearted threads that end up with lots of laughs.

I avoid kangaroo meat myself. I feed some processed kanga meat to my dog.
But Im a city clicker. maybe you need to talk to some bush or country folk. they would say different.

I have a dog allergic to chicken and he also needs (or is that me?) really top notch food. I had to search for food that used another source of protein that didn't also contain chicken fat. Thank heaven for internet searches. I know. What does this have to do with anything?
Getting there. In my search I came across a brand with kangaroo meat the first ingrediant. This is the one I thought. Wild natural meat. The price!! Exorbitant! We are sticking Turkey and salmon and lamb. And occasionally, and I apologize HIR, it hops, rabbit.

"it's so easy to be mean"
There is a simple rule for these sites, address a subject and talk about ideas and groups as abstract realities and ones own personal positions, while not personalising others contributions.
Subject content on each post is critical, so any observer can see what the issue is.
I have seen different people who hold a particular view of faith, just attack another while not dealing with why or how they disagree. It boosts the egos of the group but actually says nothing and is the opposite of Christs behaviour and testifying to the truth.
It is not difficult to deal with, if one is prepared to impose censorship and restriction on these types of contributions. Across the internet some regard this as a war of propoganda rather than sharing the gospel and the work of the Holy Spirit in people's hearts.
If people end up just condemning believers as a whole, it is unlikely this is having a loving humble spirit. The weird thing for me was to experience exposing a contributor as an abusive no holds barred individual, meant I got banned and they were given a free pass. And the reasoning was they argued faith mattered and only evil people opposed him, irrespective of how true or evil this individual's actual behavior was. Some have not read or believed about the fruit of the Spirit, and how our fruit declares what is in our hearts. God bless you.
Great points and we'll say.
I hate banning most people, I really do. For most, but not all, I try to give the benefit of the doubt. However, when their zeal becomes accusatory and combative, and they lack fleshly restraint there isn't much left to do but to ban them otherwise, their attitude ( not their doctrine) infects the rest of the site.

I'm still learning how to balance this whole conundrum. I've made mistakes in the past that I won't repeat, but I'm learning and adapting.

I think you meant HS as I am HIR, and if you're talking about rabbits then I personally wouldn't eat them but I know people who do.

If you or anybody else on here never, ever made a mistake, that would make that person Jesus. Okay so I believe it's possible He could have made sinless mistakes but you get the picture. Making mistakes is how you live, learn, and grow and is what makes you a better and stronger person in the end. Trust me, I know. :)

ive started several threads already.
i noticed a lot of bickering in the recent music thread by the way. That was disappointing.

I saw that some indifference's were staring to get out of hand and sent a friendly warning. I have trouble being on dial-up when YouTube is used as I can't open the videos as it takes to long and there are just to many. We would ask if you see any problems like this come up in the forums please let us know as we don't always catch all of them. This helps the staff to better deal with that which we do not see and we appreciate those who let us know.

Here at CF we strive for unity among the body of Christ. We work hard to sift through those who cause division and would rather argue the word with others that usually ends up in not pleasing God with a heated I'm right, your wrong attitudes.

Not everyone's Spiritual knowledge is on the same level and we all need to be opened for what the Holy Spirit teaches us by working through others. We are to study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness, 2 Timothy 2:15, 16.

There really is no marketing to draw others here other than word of mouth and praying God draws others to this site. There is a variety of forums and topics and as we get more involved with interacting with each other within the forums we have all made friends here as there are no cliques of friendships, but friends to one and all.

The Terms of Service clearly specifies what we expect of our members as all are to agree with these terms upon becoming a member so no one is without excuse how to conduct themselves within the various forums and discussions. If this site leads even one to come to the Lord than it is worth more than gold. Members come and members go, but the word of God stands forever and we are glad you are with us.

Amen to that and I apologize if I was one of the people you were talking about but I think it's perfectly acceptable to have an opinion, the only time it isn't unacceptable is when it turns into an argument and bashing other members about it because that doesn't show the love of Christ. So I think I'm good because all I (or at least try to) do is basically state my opinion about things. I really don't want to hurt or argue with anybody.

I haven't had rabbit since I was a kid when my Grandfather use to hunt them and my Grandmother would cook them. It was a treat to us kids. I don't know if I could eat Kangaroo, but am always willing to try something once.

Btw, I'm also sorry if I should have posted my previous message in a PM, my head isn't really on straight for the most part today. :confused2

Have you ever tried it and what is the texture of it when it's cooked? I know some around where I live like bear meat, but they say it's tough and has a lot of gristle. It's one of those you either like it or hate it. I do like rabbit, but haven't had any since I was a kid.

sorry cant help you. never eaten kangaroo. about the most adventurous ive been with food is raw fish. which I love. especially salmon and tuna.

Good morning,
I hope you will be part of the solution.
A bit over a year ago we had over triple the members and most of them scholars or arm chair politicians. The result was brother pitted against brother and friend, outside looking it it brought out the ugly in Christendom. The body was so fragmented and pride dominated. Honestly, much of it was a cest pool where anyone with biblical knowledge was tested and poked at looking for chinks in his armor to penetrate.

We will not be going back to that...

But yes, i agree. We need more people who can teach biblical topics in a none aggressive manor. Both for_his_glory and JLB as well as OzSpen do an amazing job at this. And they have all grown and learned how to play in the sandbox together when they disagree.

I would like to see more biblical teachers on this site, but you know what they say about too many cooks in the kitchen. In short, they need to play well together, and honestly that's hard to find on the internet because it's so easy to be mean to others online, which is something we don't want here.

SB,

I'm of the view that we could deal in the Theology forum with more apologetic topics such as:
  • What evidence is there for the existence of God?
  • Who made God?
  • Why do any people need God? Is God needed only for Christians and Jews?
  • How reliable are OT and NT? How would you test their trustworthiness?
  • Why some evangelical Christians are not young earth creationists.
They are some of my starters.

Are kangaroos a big problem in your area?

JLB

JLB,

I live in the greater Brisbane area of Qld. Take a read of this article from ABC News, Brisbane, Qld: Kangaroo population explodes in western Queensland, damages grazing country, locals say.

I live in a suburb on the northern outskirts of Brisbane. When no rain falls, kangaroos try to find green grass wherever thy can find it. I've seen old-man kangaroos jumping down the street where I live. A herd of them sometimes grazes in a nearby Council park.

Take a read of this article from National Geographic 2019,
Australia’s beloved kangaroos are now controversial pests.

They are pests in the outback and can become pests in the city and on golf courses.

Yes.

They are like wild pigs are in Texas.

I wouldn't want apologetics in the theology forum because people already think theology is a synonym for apologetics.

Perhaps we create an apologetics forum and you can lead the conversations?

I've always said i did not want to censor topics. But, we need mature Christians who know how to discuss these topics without turning them into a slugfest that goes on ad- nausium like the OSAS OSNAS consumed this site, or before that the other battles that waged against each other.

By mature Christians, i don't mean apologetically adept. I mean a Christian who can disagree with his bother, but not let his pride or zeal consume him to the point that he has to be right, and his primary motive is to convert the other to his way of understanding. For me, that's narcissistic and self serving which doesn't advance the body of Christ forward because it only points to ones insecurity or overbearing sinful nature.

Although I'm not into apologetics and theology myself, I have found that thinking before I type something is just about as important is thinking before I say something. For I am allowed to have my own opinions about things and disagree with others, but they have a right to their own opinions and beliefs as well and often it isn't what you say,.. it's how you say it.

A very simple, and true way to say it.
