I've heard somewhere that "as we approach the speed of light time slows down" and other fascinating things before. IT may have been in a Physics class, it may have been while on one of my used-to-be-frequent excursions to the Public Library (brick & mortar), to read about Quantum Mechanics on a dare from a friend, or it may have been right here too, referring to the time I was a Mod of Christianity and Science forum) but I have heard this many, many time... as you may also have...

I say this by way of introduction to a subject that recently came to me by way of an innocent speculation

Question: What happens when and if we do the impossible and take an imaginary but maybe real leap of insight right smack dab onto that there light ray/particle --> Does time stop? There are a whole ton of Holy Writings, Scripture included, as helps toward the answer but it's also okay to simply ask and wait for others to take the bait and respond here as they may. Right? I mean, that is okay and few if anybody would object to one speaking in a forum designed for that very purpose, right?

NO MORE COOKOO bird jokes. I've heard them all and I'll try to stop making puns if I even so much as hear one more ... But a Common_Bird_Sparrow-variety, along with An_Eagle-eye'd-hawk, and you, dear reader, did walk into a bar... last Friday
Question: Who said "ouch" or "squawk" the loudest, as the case may be???

/squawk brought to you by Sparrow, the bird-brained member who fancies himself a bird-actor-wanna-be-and sometimes /chatter

Q: Does Time stop at the full Speed of Light? /curious minds want to know

Barbarian ?? Been awhile. Thank you for the reply earlier in the /SA (*I'm so rusty I squeak). Not even sure what "SA" means but I do remember it replaced the only /PM (Private Message) designation.

/Zzzzz... (tired here.)

What happens to as we approach the Limits? I have studied this from a mathematical approach to Limits set of equations but that's not what this is about. It's a question:

Does time stop?

Jesus is like Light. When we "see Him, eye to eye" we will be found in His perfect Light. Jesus is Light. We don't know what we shall be, but we shall be like Him.

The Holy Spirit is said to be the very "Breath of God," and one of His Attributes by God's very nature is to Reveal, and to serve as a Guide. That's light, isn't it?

"These things have I spoken unto you, while yet abiding with you. But the Advocate, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you..."(John 14:16,17; 25,26)
"...That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him" (Ephesians 1:17).

God is said to be surrounded by light. Or rather, that He is light. 1 John 1:5 which applies it to God and states: "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all". I can get carried away with little 'flights of fancy' as I like to describe my spiritual experiences but here? There is no searching out the whole heart of God and when we try to imagine approaching the infinite, things like a familiar phrase, "Event Horizon" loom larger and larger until, to me, my mind is truly boggled.

I stay right with the idea that Light has a dual nature, one of a Ray and another of a Particle. I've seen reproductions of 'Light and slit experiments,' and have heard proofs that light is 'bendable" by gravitational force. God said,
"Let there be LIGHT," in the beginning and I believe that too is part of the mystery that He has declared the end from the beginning. This suggests to me that we will be led to Him. And there we have it. The end of my abilities. The STOP command written into me by my very nature and the physical limits of our minds.

Who knows the Mind of our God? Who can search Him? Who has given to God, that God should repay? For from Him, through Him... Through Him is everything. To God be the glory, now and forever amen.

Yes, time does slow down if you go faster. Very sensitive clocks on the Apollo missions recorded this effect, which was predicted by Einstein's relativity theory. Because the motion of the capsule was a very small fraction of the speed of light, the effect was quite small. Learn more than you really want to know about it here:

It appears that the photons and waves of light are two aspects we can sense of a phenomenon that we can't sense. Like the blind men and the elephant, it depends on what we're doing with it.

' and have heard proofs that light is 'bendable" by gravitational force.

Light doesn't bend, but space does. Huge gravitational forces do bend space, and since light continues on a straight path, the rays appear to bend. This has been verified by viewing total solar eclipses; stars behind the sun, can be seen, verifying the bending of space by the sun's gravity.
