Numbers 16, Korah's rebellion is very much prophetic as God brings judgment against these men and destroys them throwing them alive into the pit as they sin against God. Vs. 33 is almost identical with Rev 19:11-21 when Jesus returns and and brings judgment against the beast and his false prophet for their act of rebellion against God leading others to fall away from God. The beast and false prophet, being the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, will be cast alive into the lake of fire when Christ returns and destroys the beast and his false prophet.
Good post.
Revelation 12:15-16 also shows something similar......perhaps it is symbolic of the doctrines of the false Jewish rulers that John and Jesus chastised? Pretty fascinating none the less............
Numbers 16:
30 But if the LORD brings about something unprecedented, and
the earth opens its mouth and swallows them and all that belongs to them so that they go down alive into Sheol, then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with contempt.”
31 As soon as Moses had finished saying all this, the ground beneath them split open, 32 and
the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, all Korah’s men and all their possessions.

Jude 1:11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in
the rebellion of Korah.
Revelation 12:
15 and
the Serpent did cast forth after the Woman, out of his mouth, water as a river, that he may cause her to be carried away by the river,
16 and the land did help the Woman, and
the ground did open its mouth and did swallow up the river, that the Dragon did cast forth out of his mouth;

John and Jesus refers to the corrupt greedy Jewish rulers as serpents, vipers
Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “
Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the being about
wrath?
Luk 3:7 Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “
Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the being about
wrath?
Mat 23:33 “
Serpents,
brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of
the gehenna<1067>?
