I went to work this morning and I can see the social distancing. The whole town was shut down and the food giant was open and packed with people waiting in line.

I just don't understand why everything gets shut down when the same rules can apply like the places that are allowed open.

I'm talking other food shops that should be essential service like butchers and fruit and vegetable stores. They are only food and people gotta eat.

Small convenience stores are open.

We will forego any trips to the grocery store for the next 2 or 3 weeks.......at least that's the plan.......

no one allowed to watch repeat episodes of MASH , SEINFELD or FRIENDS

I hear in a stage 7 all tv channels are shutdown except one and it only shows reruns of the HoneyMooners 24/7.

We didn't hear of anyone actually being shot, but just the rumor that such force could be used kept the streets clear after curfew.

I treat that has hearsay at best and also likely not true.said guardsmen would have to,kill his neighbor ,his boss on,his civilian job.

I remember the military trucks full of troops patrolling downtown Corpus. They had rifles. They looked like they meant business.

We carry them under restrictions ,to protect ourselves ,to assist the cops,guardsmen aren't cops and most eoc will not use them as such

But the government is talking tougher about it all because the weather is really nice and people are tired of being trapped inside all the time. They are finding any excuse to go out and get about.

New York has these...
The animals are all farm raised.
I've bought ducks, lamb, and chickens...never a piglet but I could have... separate section but still could have gotten one.
Its mostly for the Jewish community in New York.
We served them up in Midtown at a fancy hotel (after cooking them)
Even here in Nashville at a fancy restaurant (long since closed) we served all kinds of game meats...lions, tigers, and bears. (Oh my)
Of course lots of venison and an occasional rabbit. Sheep, ram, various birds and sport fish.

Only meat live in our kitchens though was lobsters, crabs, and baby eels. And once we got in a turtle...but the owner suddenly got a conscience and set it free at a local park.

We are still allowed to go outside to exercise so I would consider any time in the park to be exercise. We're not allowed to go for a swim, fishing or even for a drive.
It's got to the point where we're living in an authoritarian state now

Despite this article I do believe that all of our parks will wind up closing soon. There's just way too many people there due to the cabin fever sitting in.

So people might notice some of us talking about re opening businesses and think it's a crazy idea and for the USA and Europe it would be.

But for Aus and NZ the death rate is about one per day.
Full nation lock down. Police giving fines to people who are out

Where kiwidan lives in NZ the cases are even lower
He lives out of the city and cant even go fishing on his own
U may have noticed that his not too pleased about it...LoL

When does a country start to lift restrictions?
Inevitably every nation will have to make this decision

Im a bit surprised America has these but im guessing their hygiene and sanitation standards would be safe.

The main way a disease can pass from an animal to a human is in their feces.
Another big one is blood, bacteria loves blood.

Im picturing a very clean operation in New York, all stainless steel in the slaughter area, excrement cleaned regularly.
In China but blood and excrement is all over the concrete. Maybe gets cleaned end of the day, who knows.

Plus China have more than farm animals, they have everything.
This really opens up the possibility of something new.
Some animals are known for being infested with diseases.
Most of them think C19 came from bats

Up to now,
Most of the known infections are in New York city.
Which is kinda a joke...
Because its almost impossible to get a test to begin with unless you're a health care worker.

California is the worst about it. Unless you have a sick person from China strapped to you that speaks only Mandarin...and even then it's only a maybe.
They have a high infection rate same as NY but just refuse to test. They have BART system (same thing as NY subway system). And I'm sure that is been a train of sickos every time that thing has pulled out.
So both coasts have it...LA most certainly does.
Here in Nashville TN we have about half to a third of our state's cases...we know people who are sick and likely have it...and they were tested for everything except Covid...and all tests came up negative. Logic would make you think that maybe they should test for it but...no. just quarantine the person in your house and....blah blahs blah.
This is the insanity that we are facing currently.

So...where most don't need a doctor...many do.
One in 5 is going to need a doctor and hospital.
This is twice as contagious as the flu.
It takes twice as long to get over it as the flu.

Yrs I live in north England. Worst affected is London and then north Midlands.
Prince Charles is fully recovered now and out of hospital. Queen is going strong. Our longest reigning monarch. Not that she gets much say in anything
