Christ loves the sinner. He is there for the sinner when ever he is ready to repent

Remember when they criticized Jesus for eating with sinners? He said something like a doctors heals the sick and so im here to heal the sinners

Then there is the criminal on the cross in that moment of such intense pain and anguish Jesus shows his mercy to the repentant sinner

Then i have my own experience in prison, full of sinners.
Satan has an extremely strong presence in their, he preys on the weak. Without God's moral guidance many inmates become repeat offenders as the evil one fills them with resentment

But I thank Our Lord Jesus Christ because his presence in prison is huge and i would of been consumed by evil if not for the blood of Christ. I can testify for myself and many other inmates that Christ is there right besides the sinners, protecting the ones who turn to him through their most darkest hours. He's so easy to find in there

Praise be to God for being with my brothers and sisters who are locked down

I kinda think (gasp) I agree with his take on Scripture. and...I'm surprised that...I agree with his take on Scripture. :)

God loves the sinner.

Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:6-7

Heaven rejoices when a sinner repents.

Thank God He loves us, while we were yet sinners.

on a personal note...let me just say that I'm all easily swayed by material I read, at least for a moment or two. moving on...

I don't know much about this (Rev?) David Platt dude, but I find the material on his website helpful and sound, from a Scriptural-perspective.

Does God love sinners? or only repentant sinners? that made me doubt whether Gods love was unconditional or not.
sorry to express this uncertainty

I understand what you are asking. I used to ask myself a similar question
"If God loves everyone then why do some get thrown into the lake of fire?"

I don't know humble soul. I do believe He loves sinners and really want us to repent.
That's why God has such a big ministry in prison. He's easy to find in there

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

The call to repent, says it all, once we understand what this word means.

Repent means turn to God as our Lord; Ruler or King.

If we are called to repent, turn to God, then by default we are called to “turn away” from Satan as our Lord.

In this call to turn to Him, the Lord is calling His enemies, those who serve Satan, to be His own sons.

Not only sons, but joint heirs with Christ, to inherit all things, as sons; as family.

Pretty amazing once we fully comprehend the message and it’s meaning.

Keeping it in simple terms is that we were all sinners falling short of God's glory in need of a Savior even if we didn't recognize it at the time. God's grace through Christ is extended to all who will believe and accept Him as Lord and Savior, Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:9, 10.
