In the case of scripture prophecy, it is imagined truth as opposed to real truth. i.e. The Lost are more and more certain that homosexuality is an acceptable life style in the eye of God... but that is a lie. They are deluded.

God is real.All they have to do is pick up a Bible.One of Satan's lies,and there are many,is that God is imaginary.

But Kath, they are without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, making them Spiritually Blind. When I was lost I read the Bible, trying, on my own to understand but it was gibberish until the night the Spirit indwelt me. They must have salvation and they must not quench the Spirit after that, it can be daunting to learn these lessons.
