Hi everyone.
I'm not really a new member, I have just changed my name and avitar. I was Reformed 05 but the name seemed to stir up too much controversy unnecessarily. I will try and stay away from that topic.
Boaz is actually the dog in the photo, my Dutch Shepherd and constant companion. I hope to restore fellowship with members who I have been in disagreements with and make new friends.

I don't know or understand how the name stirred up controversy, but considering my avatar is a cat and yours is a dog, we better get along! :lol

Boaz is pretty much a rescue. The breed is uncommon in the US, though you will find them in the military and police work, search and rescue, bomb squads,(I understand one works at the White House). He was the runt, still available at 3 months and they reduced the price to something I could justify. He's no runt anymore. Weighs in at 70 lbs. He just needed more/better food. He climbed into my lap when I went to see him, adopted my home as his, my bed, couches etc. As His without hesitation, though it became obvious that whatever was not mine or me he was timid and fearful of. He had zero socialization which this breed needs from day one. God gave him to me, and me to him. We have worked through his fears and there is nothing timid about him anymore! He is friendly and very very protective.
Obviously I like to talk about my dog!

We, you and I have always gotten along! Because you are awesome and wise. The controversy is about Reformed Theology, which many people don't like, and I don't actually care whether they like it or not and I don't think it has anything to do with whether we are saved or not, so why fight about it right? I only ever tried to clarify things that were said about it that aren't true. That was a fruitless effort on my part, everyone believes what they want. Surprise, surprise! I felt like I needed to start over and shall now ignore these misstatements instead of getting upset about them as it is not an important issue. I hope I am able to do this! PRAY FOR ME TO SURRENDER TO WISDOM, instead of my own desires!

Bella has that tendency to help herself to our things,Cheyenne was all over the couch and bed .

He is very intelligent. Sometimes I think he reads my mind! Thanks. I'm sure your cat rules as does my dog (rules the household)! I have often had cats, they are pretty wonderful, I just don't have one now.

It's the exact opposite with me as I've had dogs before and right now I have a cat. (Although I really want another dog, particularly a Beagle since they're my favorite. :))
 
I've always had dogs too, until now. I decided not to get another one because of my age. I do miss a dog,but I have always had cats too. Yes they lay the rules down :lol

Wow, we are the same age! I always think everyone is younger, much younger than me. Why? Don't have a clue. I am not THAT old and don't feel my age at all. I never really felt like a grownup until my mother passed when was 59!! I got Boaz four years ago and figured he would be last dog. He is number 30 for me, I've ALWAYS had dogs It will be strange. So. Probably I'll get a cat then. There must be Another living breathing animal in my house!

The funny thing is that for me, I always think that people are my age for some strange reason. :lol
