And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

we for sure have a ways to go to grow into where we should be

i'm thankful for the inspiration of God's word

Matthew6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

And let's not forget the doubting Israelites as they complained to Moses about not having any food or drink while wondering in the desert for forty years, which if they would have trusted God it would have only taken them forty days to reach Mt Sinai, Exodus 16. God is not going to let His people do without if we only trust in Him. The shelves here are empty also and it might take me going to three stores in town, but I always come home with what I need.

Here in Pennsylvania we too are under stay at home orders, except for going to buy food, medical emergencies and going to work as long as the business complies with the life essential act that is in order. Thank God the company my husband works for has been declared life essential.

The prayer of faith is the prayer being offered by the elder, not the sick person see verse 14.
As Christians we don't Panic buy nor are we 'preppers' but we do buy sensibly, is value for money when a bulk pack of 24 toilet rolls is cheap than three packs of nine one buys the bulk pack, when a pack of baked beans is cheaper than the same number of individual cans, buy the bulk pack.

The health precautions are as much to protect others as to protect one's self.

This is what Jesus taught and did. He forgave sins and healed the sick. We can do the same today, if we say someone is a sinner they are a sinner and if we say they are forgiven they are forgiven, Jesus says that himself in scripture.
