Where is this prophesied of in scripture? Who do you believe the son of perdition will be?

Our armed forces occupy Jerusalem for 42 months. The occupation begins when a host is given to Israel so that the daily sacrifice is abolished.It ends when the king of the south attacks our armed forces stationed in Jerusalem.
Our armed forces will respond using the abomination that causes desolation.

But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.

What does troops being pulled out of Germany have to do with the antichrist?

This refers to the two witnesses of the Lord, not the US Military.

The fire comes directly from this two witnesses, not from military weapons.

This similar ability was given to Elijah, to call down fire upon his enemies.
They also have the supernatural ability and authority to stop it from raining, turn water into blood, and strike the earth with plagues.

Yes those Gentiles who occupy Jerusalem for 42 months who have the power to shut up the heavens that it rains not and which fire proceeds from thier mouths. Yes I'm talking about those Gentiles.

Do you testify a gentile can not be a witness of Christ?

I believe there will be another temple built. For those in Judaism its all about torah. Their identity that they sperate themselves from others in the world.
We know, as should they, as its in their scriptures God was not pleased with the sacrifices and offerings though the law required them to be made.
The lawless one or beast or antichrist reveals himself to the world by sitting in the temple declaring "himself" to be God. That person was given 42 months and appears unstoppable and successful in all his conquests with the world mindset as "who can make war with the beast". The world has been deceived by the lie of the beast and worship the beast. Everyone whose name has not been written in the book of life. They condemn and pronounce judgment on the saints and think they are in the right.
Until suddenly and to their astonishment Jesus appears suddenly with the armies of heaven and destroys the beast who declared himself as God in the "temple" and Jesus pronounces judgment in favor of the saints of the most high. And judges those that follow and worship the beast with the judgment they presumed on the saints.
To make a long story short the one who declares himself in the "temple" as God is destroyed not by man but by God and that is a future event. It did not take place in the 1st century. So another temple must be put in place to fulfill prophecy.

They can build another temple if they want, but it will never be built on the original Temple mount, nor will God honor it.
Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Acts 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Acts 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Its not needed for sure as Jesus entered the temple built by God in heaven by His blood.
But I note Jesus stated, "Holy Place"
Matt 24:15
So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ as spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Just as Rev 11 uses the word Holy City to describe Jerusalem even though in those days God figuratively calls that city Sodom and Egypt.
A future event
We read in Zach 14 that God splits the mount of olives in two to make a way of escape from the surrounding armies. Possibly caused by the violent earthquake as noted in Rev 11. Same City at the time of the end puts these prophecies together in time and place.
My views on the Temple are based on the Dispensational understanding and interpretation of Scripture.
It has been pointed out already by several here that the Church is the Temple at this time. This is true. But that is no problem for another Temple to be built later, for at the Rapture the Church is gone.
As for the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount, it will go away somehow. Perhaps by man, or perhaps by God through earthquake or something.
Concerning the U.S. involvement in any of this, it is difficult to say. Israel has had the support of the U.S. in the past. But in the past, the U.S. was Christian. We are not anymore. Christians and whites are no longer the majority. Unbelieving and other races are. Thus the liberal atheistic left Democrats, will not sense the importance of Israel as evangelicals do based upon our Biblical faith.
It's my opinion that the U.S. must be taken out of the way as a world leader because we are an ally to Israel. Power must shift back to Europe for the formation of the revised Roman empire. Perhaps our present election has purpose with God in this. I don't see Israel turning back to God, with the U.S. as a strong ally as she won't feel the need.
Also, the next Temple must be destroyed due to what is going on during the Tribulation. And there must be another Temple, a Millennial Temple, built. The specific instructions for this Temple and the priesthood surrounding it are given in (Ezekiel 40-48). No such Temple has ever been built.

The resurrection comes first then the rapture.
The other thing that occurs at the coming of the Lord is the destruction of the wicked including the antichrist.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:15
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:8

As usual, you confuse the 2nd Coming of Christ to the earth with the Rapture.
Both involve the 'coming of the Lord'. But both don't occur at the same time.
Because your 'timeline' is amiss by a degree. Your last statement is amiss by yards.
I stated at the first that my understanding and interpretation is based upon the Dispensational view. What is yours based upon? Please don't just say the 'Bible'. I could say the same. You have a system of interpretation that you use. What is it?
Amillennial? Spiritual? Covenant theology? Reformed theology? What?
And, most important, how does what you say affect what I said concerning the Temple?

The rapture occurs at His coming, after the resurrection.

We know the holy place is the original Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the abomination is the Dome of the Rock that is sitting on that very Temple mount and even now is being refurbished for the son of perdition to take his throne there claiming he is god.
I see everything from the time Christ returns in the air clear through to the New Jerusalem being ushered down as being done very quickly as no one can put a timeline to these events.

That the Dome of the Rock is an abomination, I agree. But, it is not the abomination of desolation spoken of in (Matt. 24:15).
If it is, how does it fit with what is said in (Matt. 24:15) and (Daniel 9:27) and (Daniel 12:11)?

Rev 12:3 the other sign John saw was a great red dragon meaning Satan. Remember, this is a vision and a sign as Satan has not yet been cast out of heaven until the beginning of the 3 1/2 years of the greatest tribulation we will ever see nor ever see again, Matthew 24:21. The description of the dragon being great and red depicts its nature and character as being fierce and murderous, John 8:44. This red dragon is depicted as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. This is also confirmed in Rev 17 as mystery Babylon is described. The seven heads and ten horns refer to the original ten kingdoms of which three were subdued by the little horn of Daniel 7:8. The last kingdom which stands greater than all the others is that of a revived Roman Empire that takes control over all the ten nations who then implements a deceiving peace treaty with the Muslims in which the Dome of the Rock will be given over to the son of perdition as he reigns from the very Temple mount of God, meaning the holy place in Matthew 24:15. This is the abomination Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15, 16 that we are to flee from when we see the son of perdition take his seat in Jerusalem for 3 1/2 years.
Rev 13 the beast rises up out of the sea as the sea here is symbolic of people and nations as in a sea of humanity, Daniel Chapter 7:1-8; Revelation 17:15. This beast is a Luciferian system that controls world wide economics, political, military and false religious system. This beast system that Satan works through gives its power to the beast out of the earth as the beast out of the earth appears as the Lamb of God, but is a false Christ being the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 with two horns. The two horns represent the Old Roman Empire that received its deadly wound back in 1798 by General Berthier who made his entrance into Rome and abolished the Roman government and established a secular one. That caused them to scatter into the other ten nations (ten horns). The wound was healed in 1929 by Mussolini.
