If the bible is correct and the road to life is narrow, most will go to hell.
So out of all of those people your God creates, most will fail to enter heaven.

So how have Christians won the war, if most are lost?

Bick are you spouting universeralism? We, humans, are all saved? in the end?

2.2: No active promotion of other Faiths is allowed:

You will not post any messages; links, images or photos that promote a religion or belief other than Biblical and historical Christianity (atheism is considered a "belief" for the purposes of this rule). Discussion of these doctrines are is fine, as long as the beliefs foreign to Christianity (as defined above) are not actively promoted or held in balance with orthodox Christianity. This includes Full Preterism, Universal Reconciliation, Universal Salvation, Serpent seed, Dual Seed or Two-Seedline doctrine where discussion is limited to and only allowed in the 1 on 1 Debate Forum. This is a Christian Forum as the name suggests.

Yes, I believe what the Scriptures teach.
actively is promoting universelism .

God knows the true intents of our heart. Many give lip service to the Lord, but on the inside are as lost as those who have never accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Are all professing Christians perfect.........no, but we know we serve a merciful God who forgives us when we fall from His grace When we humble ourselves before Him.

There is no worldly war except within ourselves as flesh and Spirit can not mix and will always war against each other, Romans 8:6-8; John 3:1-21; Ephesians 6:12.
Our only duty as servants of God is to guard our hearts and spread Gods message of Salvation to the world and pray that Spiritual ears will be opened to hear and accept the Gospel of grace. Salvation is a worldwide invitation of Gods grace through that of the life, death and resurrection of His only begotten Son Jesus. Many will accept the call, but many will also close that door and refuse to hear His call.

And what a wonderful, loving, gracious God we have, who sends 90% ? to conscious eternal torment.
How sad to realize that man's will is greater than God's.

You say "spouting." I'm just hoping bible studens will investigate the origin of the teaching of conscious eternal torment,
that it was introduced by St. Augustine who adapted it from pagan Greek philosophies. It is nowhere in the Originals (the oldest and best Greek copies) nor mentioned in any of the early church councils.
Sadly, it became RC doctrine and was continued after the reformation, and basically believed in all Christendom today.

What war?
Christ has "opened the gate of heaven" to whoever will believe and act like they believe.
Whether anyone goes to heaven or hell is the result of the choices of each individual.
All of mankind is welcome to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Most choose to decline the invitation.
To accept the invitation one must repent and believe the Gospel.
Repent means to change your manner of living to be a reflection of Jesus' manner of living.
Believe means to trust that what Jesus said was the way to heaven IS the way to heaven and to go that way.
The war in in your head and your heart.
YOU choose what side you're on.
YOU choose whom you will serve.
It's not up to Christians to get you to heaven.
It's up to you.

Let me ask you something Bick...
Was AUGUSTINE right about ANYTHING?
What?

Before dying, he pretty much changed his mind about everything he believed.
Including the origin of evil and predestination.

I'm not familiar with his teachings on hell and torment and how long it lasts.
I do know for sure that it's up to us to decide where we want to spend eternity.

Just tell us the origin. What does it mean to you?

As far as Cath doctrine... who knows WHAT they believe anymore.

I love John 3:16. It covers so many concepts.
FOR WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH.

One has to believe.

Question: Are we limited to certain Versions? Shouldn't we use the more literal versions, such as Young's Literal, Rotherham's Emphasized or Wilson's Emphatic Diaglott ? Or, the Concordant Version of The New Testament?
Don't the Scriptures have the last word?
Let us see:
"Behold, the lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29, RSV.
"God did not send his son to the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him."

And what a wonderful, loving, gracious God we have, who sends 90% ? to conscious eternal torment.

God does not send them anywhere, they choose not to Worship Him and when they do so they choose the Lake of Fire, it is their choice and God will not bully them into Heaven.

There really should be a distinction made here. While it is true that a small portion of those who consider themselves Christian will make it to heaven, you must actually understand that there are those who call themselves Christian are anything but. It would be more accurate to say that 100% of those who are truly Christian (set apart by God, and called by the Holy Spirit to believe in a saving faith in Jesus Christ) will make it to heaven. It is those who will be evident they are Christian by their fruit. This is not to say they are able to do anything that will get them into heaven, but because they are already saved this will be identified by what they do, and why they do it.

[ Hi th1b.Taylor. Yes, man was made in the image of God, and you would think that man by his own will would seek God, but the Apostle Paul tells in Rom. 3:10,
quoting Psa .14:1-3, "There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God," AV.
Are we not to conclude that man, because of sin, will never seek God? That it is only through God's grace and power that anyone is saved? Is He not the potterand we the clay? (Ref. Rom. 9:18-24).

This forum is not a debate forum. It is "A place for seekers to ask open, honest questions about our faith" and for the Christian members to answer. Direct your posts to the OP and avoid debating. If you wish to take a discussion further, start a thread in the appropriate forum.

True believers dont give up no matter what, if one person got saved, God won. He won because he simply needs people to fill the place of the rebellious angels. I believe that is why he creates man, anticipating rebellion.
