I decided to train my cat on indoor agility equipment. Here's a video of our progress

It's different than training my dogs was, he has more of a mind of his own, doesn't really care so much about pleasing me like my dogs did. But he is very, very food motivated, and that's good for training an animal. We're using clicker training.

Wow, I'm actually really rather impressed that you trained your cat and not the other way around as it often is with them lol! Anyways, beautiful kitty and I'm going to go ahead and tag Tessa as she loves cats and I already know that she's going to love this handsome boy. :)

Thanks for the tag.. the video kept on jumping onto something else, but i did catch sight of Oreo - what a cutie , and he's clever. That's taken some patience.

Here:
I was 14 in this video, I'm 26 now. So it's pretty old. The dog in the video is also no longer with us, sadly.
There's another. That dog also passed away, a few years ago

I've seen the first video before but I don't believe that I saw the second one. Treader was really cute though. :)

It might be a little too early to start on the other equipment, but I introduced him to the weave poles today. I have them in two rows right now, but I will gradually set them closer together until he finally has to make a weaving motion to get through them. Once he's used to that, they'll continue to get closer together until they are in one row and he can weave right through them.
It's tricky to teach.
