And what is the importance of its removal in the time of the end?

1. Physical descendants of Abraham under the Old Covenant were required to be circumcised in order to keep their covenant with God. Genesis 17:14

2. Without circumcision physical descendants of Abraham possessed no title deed to the land of Palestine. Joshua 5:1-9

Now why does Paul proclaim there is no more circumcision in Galatians 5:6, Colossians 3:11, etc?

Because Gentiles have been brought into fold by Christ (Galatians 3:26-29, Ephesians 3:6), and Jew and Gentile are now both children of Abraham (or rather children of the promise) and physical descendants of Abraham are no longer inheritors of Palestine but of heaven (Hebrews 11:8-16).
