This is farofa, i can't believe you never tasted it :o, here is how to do it: https://www.oliviascuisine.com/holiday-brazilian-farofa/

"Farofa is a toasted manioc (or sometimes maize) flour mixture and it’s served as a side dish for meats, beans, etc."

Thanks marrea
After reading your reply i googled .
What I found was very interesting.
This Brazilian dish is good for balancing the blood sugar. The cassava flour I know as corn flour, and tapioca is made from some of the root.

Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to experiment next weekend.

If I was on death row and ordered my last meal it would be a plate of fried chicken livers and gizzards and a plate of french fries. Three jalapenos and a bottle of ketchup to go with it. Two cold beers.

I tried something with only one jalapeno in. Much too hot for me. My brother loved it.

If you're not used to them, yes. You just work your way up to them.

For flavor I like the pickled jalapenos the best to use along side of a meal. But if I mix a jalapeno in with a stew or casserole or pinto beans, I cut up a raw jalapeno.

When you buy the canned jalapenos, which are the pickled ones, you can get them whole or sliced. You will find the sliced are not as hot usually. A good place to start. They add great flavor. Just bite off as much as you think you can take at that time.
