So there sure is a lot of people on Youtube and other places that are saying that, something bad is going to happen in November and if the election difficulties arent enough to throw the country into chaos and violence then any other little thing that happens could compound the situation. There could be volcanoes erupting, hurricanes tornadoes, maybe even an EMP and the grid would go down?

I think that the Internet is likely to come down and be gone...And when it comes back up again, guess what? No more Christian sites maybe. So if that happens....I better say bye now. Love all you Brothers and Sisters and God be with you all. Keep praying Psalm 91.

Anything could happen. And the things to be prepared for is, electric, Gas, water, sanitation and food. 100 years ago this was normal day to day life for people, but not a lot of people is skilled in self sufficiency. I have camping gear and all that. I can cook, heat the house in a pinch and I have a fishing stream about 200 yards away from my house. I can truck 5 gallon buckets of water from there and bring it home and filter it.

What do you all think? Think the internet or grid will go down? Are you doing at least some things to prepare, or having 100% faith in God?

I used to be more prepared than I am now, but the Lord told me too much. A little preparation is good but don't go overboard. So that's where I'm at on it.

There's a lot of worry, fear, tension, and uncertainty in today's time.

There's a million and one scenarios about what could happen tomorrow. Will the entire internet go down? Maybe. It would affect a lot of things today as we rely on it, but we could live without it - mankind didn't start with wires. Are natural disasters coming to an all time high? Possibly. To sit down and think about a handful that may or may not happen isn't a productive use of our time. I get, though, it's easy to think that way with everything running on crazy.

I'm reminded of this one hymn and it says in it, "Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand." God is in control no matter what happens. He's always prepared to provide for us.

It probably doesn't hurt to be prepared if we know in our hearts that something is coming. I mean, why else would Joseph have a hand in helping Egypt preserve all that grain for the famine? He was given that insight to keep the people sustained through the rough times. I can't imagine what would've happen if they didn't believe in Joseph! What a tragedy that would've been.

When I get wrapped around the, "What if's?" I usually pull out this verse, it's pretty blunt about, "Do not worry."

Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV)

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I like verse 27 there, "Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" It tells us how unproductive worrying about things actually is. If God takes care of His creation, He will take care of us.

We are such worry bugs. A million things could happen. I try to think if I worry about tomorrow it spoils today. Sometimes it works. :lol
God is in control so whatever happens is for the best. The Lord has promised He is with us even to the end of the world.

I could post a story of that time .imagine traveling from Daytona to ft.pierce and it took days,no,law or court and you know your friend ,neighbor was murdered for his cattle

If the internet goes down we will be in serious trouble,
How do you pay for goods, get cash out of ATMs, how do shops, stores, firms order supplies all over the internet and if it goes down loss of forums and blogs will be the least of our worries.

That said conspiracy theories are always over done so save your energies for worrying about your health, family and job.

nothing is fool,proof.

I'm,not in the slightest concerned over covid .

my,job is replaceable .automatic meter reading ,the county and near by fpua are phasing out meter readers .
health ,our control is limited .torqued me knee and my knee swelled ,yet I was able to work .

Hear the words of Jesus!

25 "I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:25-34 NKJV

I'm not worried about it and it's not a conspiracy theory. I just thought it might be interesting to toss it around a little. These things are the reality of today's world. But not to worry. Psalm 91 is either true or it isn't.

I think it is a good idea to have a home off grid anyway. They system and utilities and all that are ruthless. It'd be a cool day to not have to do business with them! I'm not there yet. I really need a well here. I did buy a older stove and converted it to propane so if I lose gas I can still cook, bake or broil. :)

I've read about people running their home electrical systems off of a bank of deep cycle batteries and a generator. That is interesting. No generator here yet though. Lots of candles, lol. :)

do you have a propanol mine in your yard ?

want power ,when those storms take off your roof with panels?run those propane washers and dryers and hot water on a generator?

in Florida for safety ,all connected solar panels go offline after the storm hits.imagine reparing a drop from one of those and it back feeds you .

Get rid of electricity and then heat and cook with wood fire.

Get rid of electricity and then heat and cook with wood fire.

I did that the other week. Wrapped the food in foil and put in inbetween hot coals from a fire. Was a bit of a change i rarely cook with coals over a fire.

Not hard afor some of us who know how to live off the land or have places to do it and know how to hunt and fish. Many who live in cities are in apartments and even many houses don't even have a section with room to cook naturally, I mean a gas BBQ is about it. It's house to house the days. I don't see many quarter acre sections anymore in the cities.

Always good to think about how we show our practical love to others.
there are people who live in fear .I have beem to war ,the idiocracry, and how the govt acts us exactly how I knew it would be ,rules for us ,none for them .

Just because some people don't fear Covid does not mean they don't care about others.
I guess i should ad homemin wirh pages of why I don't .and also include well my,job is turning off people .there were people who haven't paid since March ,thus covid must be about over since we are doing that .would you work for free for six months ,walmart has fully opened here and removed much of their covid 19,stuff .no,one way signs inside ,just as mask reminder .

all the while the rich elderly millionaires over 65 moved in ,sold or out ,went north and came back during all this as usual .sure some people did get sick ,some did die.but my,observation tells me many lived lives as they felt they should .

in a biological attack one doesn't play golf ,go enjoy, the beach ,get swamp buggy tires, change oil .essential is very subjective .fishing is essential to you ,because you may eat by it .I seldom eat fish .

I guess I,should post my,health here ,my,philosophy on death ,in short.

tickle me ,or I run ,or any dust or irritant I can go into a severe asthma fit and then need to go to a doctor .I can breathe ,but well mucus ,cough up your mucus for hours and you can't stop it .now that can happem with a cold, the flue or pneumonia.

since I can't physically prevent or control anything other then being tickled at 100 percent ,I don't concern myself ,I have to work ,my,wife has worse health issues ,no state aid will make or give me enough .besides I can work ,save va disability if rated enough .which would have to be 100 percent .

since I can't control or really decide much on when I might not be able to work .worry not ,though I have .

death .lets see I already posted about working in hail ,lightning ,I,just looked at water and sewer line work ,its job description says yup ,I will be working on water breaks or sewer breaks in,that weather ,but ya know these choose to do that .in my,state ,I have septic ,you can still,a well and have water .it seems selfish to ask the utility workers to risk death. for your convenience
