I'm looking for clarification. I've always heard that the last antichrist will have a Middle East peace treaty. Is this scripturally true?

He will confirm a covenant with many for one week.

7 years.

This, it seems will “allow” the building of the third temple in Jerusalem, in which in the middle of this 7 year period he will put an end to sacrifice and offerings to declare himself as the messiah.

  • Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week, he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

Daniel says that this man will not regard (the affection of) women.

“Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. Daniel 11:36-37

This may be a reference to being a homosexual, or as some have pointed out may refer to a pope, since he is a ruler from that region... being a prince of the people who destroyed Jerusalem (70 AD).

  • And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

“And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.” Daniel 9:26-27

I'm sorry but I've missed this. Who has signed a peace treaty with whom?

I think this is in reference to the image of man. (Like Jesus). Cause the scripture goes on to say that this "king" .........
Daniel 11:38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.

Sounds like this king cares about material things rather than what the "creator" has created.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction of this revelation!

Actually he is honoring that “god” with gold and silver.

This would indicate he is deeply religious, caring about his “god” more that his gold and silver.

I believe the covenant he will confirm is the Jerusalem Covenant.

This was made in 1992.

I'm looking for clarification. I've always heard that the last antichrist will have a Middle East peace treaty. Is this scripturally true?

According to Daniel 11,there would be a very powerful king from the north who would have much investment with Israel. He would help allow Israel's daily sacrifice to be abolished, he would devide the land, perhaps to Israel's advantage, and he would move his embassy to Jerusalem.
The chapter end with a huge war.
Insted of bring peace, the man brings destruction to the middle east.

No one but Christ will give Israel peace.

and he would move his embassy to Jerusalem.

I have read Daniel 11, several times, but never have noticed where it mentioned the king of the North moving his embassy to Jerusalem.

Which verse is it that says this?

JLB

The King of the North —

“At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage.
“So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant. And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.
Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. Daniel 11:29-39

The time of the end - The great tribulation

“At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.

And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank. And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?”
Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. Daniel 12:1-7

It is the building that represents his palace or house.

I was made known the meaning of this verse in 2003.I learned alot that year. Seeing the US Invade Iraq the second time opened my eyes up to this chapter. It was a huge eye opener.

There is nothing in these verses that says the King of the North moves his embassy to Jerusalem, nor anything that ties the US to the king of the North.

JLB

Ths king of the North is a reference to the antichrist.

He neither regards the gods of his fathers or the desire of women.

According to John who is the only person in the Bible to use the term antichrist,an antichrist is someone who denies Jesus is the Christ. John also said there were many Antichrists in his day.
Daniel never says the King of the north is an antichrist, nor does Daniel say the king of the north denies Jesus before men. So for all we know, this king if the north may claim to be a Christian even though it's obvious he isn't. But there are many leaders who claim to be Christian who are not. A politician will say about anything for a vote.
This leader seems to be no different, he's a lier.
