Are you a Hebrew? If not, you should be focused on the Gospel of Grace. So, you need to focus on Paul’s writings and leave the Hebrew Christian writings alone until you are well established in the Gospel of God’s Grace given to Paul for you exclusively. It is like this; many people start off on the wrong foot. People read and study the Old Testament first then then read the pre Gospel of Grace chapters of the New Testament then finally get to the writings of Paul and the Gospel of Grace which is the way you must be saved as a Gentile, which is just the opposite of what they should have done, but by then it is too late and they are totally confused and still under the Law and the teachings of the Law and have never heard the Gospel of Grace at that point so in their mind legalism makes since but can’t save them only Grace can. (((This is a short version of the Gospel of Grace; every Christian should study it and learn it by heart.)))

Matthew 6:33 KJV

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 4:1-8

4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven,

And whose sins have been covered.

8 “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”

Colossians 2:13-23 NLT

13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

16 So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17 For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. 18 Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, 19 and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.

20 You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, 21 “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? 22 Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. 23 These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.

Galatians 3 NKJV

Justification by Faith

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you [a]that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so [c]many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?

5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? — 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

The Law Brings a Curse

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” 11 But that no one is [d]justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

2 Corinthians 3:7-18 NKJV

Glory of the New Covenant

7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.

“The ministry of death is also known as the Curse of the Law Only the Ten Commandments were written in stone”. Romans 10 3-4 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Gal. 5 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 2:21 KJV I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. These are the writings of Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles: Romans, Corinthians 1 & 2, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians 1 & 2, Timothy 1 & 2, Titus, Philemon.

There is only one Gospel for both Jew and Gentile.

It is the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; ie the Gospel of grace, the Gospel of the kingdom of God.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14

The same Gospel Jesus Preached will continue to be preached through to the end of this age.

Any Gospel that does not contain the word REPENT is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The command of the Gospel is repent.

Those who do not obey the Gospel command to repent, will receive everlasting destruction.

This is what Jesus Christ sent Paul to preach to both Jew and Gentile.

Words of Christ in red —

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’ Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. Acts 26:17-20

Repent means to “turn to God” in submission to Him as Lord; to obey His commandments and doctrine.

This is the call to turn away from Satan as our lord.

The way we repent, “turn to God”, is to confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

To confess Jesus Christ our Lord, in truth, but how is that done without the Spirit of truth...

Psalm 145:18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Isaiah 48:1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Isaiah 65:16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

Jeremiah 4:2 And thou shalt swear, The Lord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

To confess Jesus Christ our Lord, in truth, but how is that done without the Spirit of truth...

It’s called the power of the Gospel.

The power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit; The Spirit of grace.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Romans 1:16

The Holy Spirit is grace.

Grace is the unmerited ability to do what a person can not do on there own. Grace is the Holy Spirit.

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3

  • you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.
1 Peter 1:22-23

You had mentioned repenting, as confessing Jesus Christ as Lord.

That is why I shared the verses how no man can repent unless given the Spirit.

Grace is being given the Gospel message to repent, and without the Spirit, we would not know what repenting is.

Firstly, repentance has to be granted by God, 2 Timothy 2:25, and repentance is the clearing of ourselves 2 Corinthians 7:11 ( if God gives us the Holy Spirit to do that with.)

You quoted 1 Peter 1, but missing the earlier verses, misses the whole point.

We are warned to be sober, for the grace to be revealed, to not be in ignorance in lust, but to be Holy, as God who calls us, is Holy.

God judges without respect on our work, so we pass our time on earth in fear of Him, because we have to believe we are redeemed not by corruption..

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

This time with Romans 1, you needed to continue a little longer to see the purpose( testimony) again.

The power of God is made known to all the world, so that all the world now became without excuse before God( the world is judged)

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

From Genesis to Revelation is all about faith that leads us up to the gospel of grace through Christ Jesus as it began way before there were any Hebrews. The word Hebrew was first mentioned in the scriptures in Genesis 14:13 as Abraham was called a Hebrew.

OT teaches us of faith and obedience to God and is also a foreshadow teaching of the latter days clear up to the day of the birth, ministry, death and resurrection of Christ as we being Gentiles are grafted into the branches making Jew and Gentile one body of Christ with He being the head of the body, Galatians 3:28-29 . Without reading the OT we could not understand the need for the NT and the need for God's grace through Christ Jesus.

Someone who is new in coming to Christ or seeking I always ask them to start with the Book of John in order to know who Christ is, then go to the book of Acts to understand the baptism of the Holy Spirit. From there they need to study the whole Bible.

But why would you need to instruct someone coming to Christ ?

Christ gave us instructions, to not do that. ( no longer the leaders of the people teaching them and misleading them causing them to err and they are cut off by Christ)

Isaiah 9:14 Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.

John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Hebrews 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

We do believe fully through what Jesus testifies in the Gospel, because it is the righteousness of faith, and His grace gives us that faith to believe in Him rising from the dead( and why we die in our sins without Him risen)

The Apostles testified of Christ risen from the dead ( to the Gentiles without the law, they believe, but to the Jews who had the Torah, they do not believe)

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

1 Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The feet of those that preach the Gospel of peace, are the feet of Jesus Christ...

Isaiah 52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Zechariah 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Hearing is by Christ being in us, otherwise we can hear nothing, and without being enlightened ( by the Spirit of Christ in us) we can see nothing too.( if you are going to try to correct me, at least have something wise to show please.)

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and HOW SHALL THEY HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER?

Acts 10:36 THE WORD WHICH GOD SENT sent unto the children of Israel, PREACHING PEACE BY JESUS CHRIST: (he is Lord of all:)

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and THE PREACHING OF JESUS CHRIST, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

These verses pretty much explain that one needs to hear the word of God as faith first comes by hearing the word as Christ is not yet in anyone until they become Spiritually born again from above and then are they enlightened as the Holy Spirit indwells them and opens their Spiritual eyes and ears to understand that which is being taught in all truth as the Holy Spirit works through others to help teach us.

Jesus came to Apostle Paul, by the Son being revealed in Him, and the Son is revealed in anyone the same way ( not by man)

You can try to ignore what these verses say, but I know an a lot more to show and show and show.

Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Galatians 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Are you a Hebrew? If not, you should be focused on the Gospel of Grace.
What if I am a Hebrew ? Was the Gospel of Grace not for the Hebrew ? :?:study
So, you need to focus on Paul’s writings and leave the Hebrew Christian writings alone until you are well established in the Gospel of God’s Grace given to Paul for you exclusively.
Paul, a Hebrew Christian writing . Am I right ?

Do you know what a 2x4 is ?

We are no longer under a school master and put away childish things to become a man

Galatians 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
A 2x4 would be a modern term for what Jesus spoke of in Matthew and Luke . Not the number 8 .
