I know you agree, because you read your bible.

The new covenant ministerial priesthood is the order of melchisedec heb 7:17

Oath is a sacred promise from God AKA: a sacrament!

Christ is high priest in a ministerial order of priests that indicates hierarchy and the fact that He is In authority over other priests of the same order!

JUSTIN MARTYR

“[Jesus] became man by the Virgin so that the course which was taken by disobedience in the beginning through the agency of the serpent might be also the very course by which it would be put down. Eve, a virgin and undefiled, conceived the word of the serpent and bore disobedience and death. But the Virgin Mary received faith and joy when the angel Gabriel announced to her the glad tidings that the Spirit of the Lord would come upon her and the power of the Most High would overshadow her, for which reason the Holy One being born of her is the Son of God. And she replied ‘Be it done unto me according to your word’ [Luke 1:38]” (Dialogue with Trypho the Jew 100 [A.D. 155]).

EPHRAIM THE SYRIAN

“You alone and your Mother are more beautiful than any others, for there is no blemish in you nor any stains upon your Mother. Who of my children can compare in beauty to these?” (Nisibene Hymns 27:8 [A.D. 361]).

AMBROSE OF MILAN

“Come, then, and search out your sheep, not through your servants or hired men, but do it yourself. Lift me up bodily and in the flesh, which is fallen in Adam. Lift me up not from Sarah but from Mary, a virgin not only undefiled, but a virgin whom grace had made inviolate, free of every stain of sin” (Commentary on Psalm 118:22–30 [A.D. 387]).

TIMOTHY OF JERUSALEM

“Therefore the Virgin is immortal to this day, seeing that he who had dwelt in her transported her to the regions of her assumption” (Homily on Simeon and Anna [A.D. 400]).
Immaculate conception is not in those texts.

The last says she was made immortal, transported into heaven. Doesn't refer to her conception; Sheep without blemish are sacrificed to God, without implying these were immaculately conceived. You are reading that into the words. Justin speaks of her impeccable moral character, and God ensuring the conception of Jesus' flesh was "immaculate."

While Ambrose speaks highly of Mary's purity, the contrast between Sarah and Mary refers to what each did while alive. Ambrose likely referring to Sarah forcing Hagar and Abraham's son to leave, greatly displeasing Abraham (Gen. 21:9-10).

Immaculate conception of Mary, the idea she was not born as all humans are, with the sin of Adam, is a fiction the Catholic Church formally defined in 1854. Until then there were Catholics who didn't believe it.

Before the dogma of the Immaculate Conception was formally defined by Pope Pius IX in 1854, there were several notable Catholic theologians and individuals who either rejected or expressed doubts about this concept. Here are some of them:

  1. St. Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274): One of the most influential theologians and philosophers in the history of the Catholic Church, St. Thomas Aquinas held positions on the Immaculate Conception that were more nuanced than outright rejection but did not fully align with the later defined dogma. He believed that Mary was sanctified after conception.
  2. St. Bonaventure (1221–1274): A contemporary of St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Bonaventure was also hesitant to fully endorse the belief in the Immaculate Conception as it was understood later.
  3. Dominican Order (General Attitude before 1854): Many members of the Dominican Order, following the theological stance of St. Thomas Aquinas, were historically known for their skepticism or opposition to the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception until it was defined as dogma.
  4. Various Theologians and Scholars: Besides these well-known figures, numerous other theologians and scholars within the Church debated and held diverse opinions on this matter prior to its dogmatic definition.

At first the Catholic Magisterium tried to maintain the universal Christian religion, keep it from changing. But after a time, they saw themselves as being able to change it. Each council of the church represents a major change in what was officially "Catholic". So you have a problem, the "version of Catholicism" you believe 100% correct, is different than the many versions that existed prior to Vatican II.

Logically, it follows only one "version" can be 100% correct, which means all the previous versions were wrong since the first centuries.

I maintain "my version of Catholicism [the universal world-wide Christian faith]" existed in the Days of Christ and a few centuries after. But Catholics changed it by adopting new ideas, many from pagans. They especially loved the Greek philosophers, but we were warned not to:

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. (Col. 2:8 NKJ)

Oath - Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

Oath
[ 1,,G3727, horkos ]
is primarily equivalent to herkos, a fence, an enclosure, that which restrains a person;" hence, "an oath." The Lord's command in Matthew 5:33 was a condemnation of the minute and arbitrary restrictions imposed by the scribes and Pharisees in the matter of adjurations, by which God's Name was profaned. The injunction is repeated in James 5:12. The language of the Apostle Paul, e.g., in Galatians 1:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:27 was not inconsistent with Christ's prohibition, read in the light of its context. Contrast the "oaths" mentioned in Matthew 14:7, Matthew 14:9; Matthew 26:72; Mark 6:26.

Hebrews 6:16 refers to the confirmation of a compact among men, guaranteeing the discharge of liabilities; in their disputes "the oath is final for confirmation." This is referred to in order to illustrate the greater subject of God's "oath" to Abraham, confirming His promise; cp. Luke 1:73; Acts 2:30. Cp. the verbs horkizo, and exorkizo, under ADJURE.

[ 2,,G3728, horkomosia ]
denotes "an affirmation on oath" (from No. 1 and omnumi, "to swear"). This is used in Hebrews 7:20-Hebrews 7:21 (twice), Hebrews 7:28 of the establishment of the Priesthood of Christ, the Son of God, appointed a Priest after the order of Melchizedek, and "perfected for evermore." In the Sept., Ezekiel 17:18-Ezekiel 17:19.

No Thee faith is revealed fully by Christ to his apostolic church before his ascension into heaven!
Jude 1:3 eph 4:5

The liturgical feast of the immaculate conception was celebrated annually on dec. 8 since apostolic times, and not of those you mentioned would ever oppose a defined dogma of the faith!

Mary conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Matt 1:20 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lordappeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Lk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

How could a holy God conceive and holy offspring in the womb of a wretched sinner! Impossible! Blasphemy!
You are violating a “biblical principle”!

Matthew 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Jesus is the fruit of Mary!
Good fruit (our salvation Lk 2:30) Mary is a good tree!
Lk 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

The fruit of the tree of Mary is our salvation! Matt 1:21 Lk 2:30 Jesus is our salvation! This reflects the immaculate conception of Mary and the miraculous conception of Jesus!
Lk 1:30 Mary found our salvation!
Lk 1:38 consented to our salvation!

A good tree (immaculate conception) Lk 1:49 God has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes!

A Good tree cannot bear bad fruit!
A biblical principle taught by Jesus and He knew it would be used to defend His sinless mother!

A sinner (bad tree) CANNOT bring forth good fruit!

Thanks

The BIBLE PROVES Mary’s immaculate conception!

Immaculate conception and the Four spiritual laws:

2) Man is sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love.
Man is Sinful.

3) Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him alone we can know God personally and experience God's love.
He Died in Our Place.

4) We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know God personally and experience His love.
We Must Receive Christ.

Scripture declares:

Lk 1:28 And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

“Full of grace”

“Lord is with Mary”

“Blessed”

The only possibility is the “immaculate conception” by the power of God thru the future merits of the passion and death of Jesus Christ! Amen! Lk 1:37 Lk 1:49

Lk 1:37 all things are possible with God!

Lk 1:49 He that is mighty has done “great things” unto me!

Ineffabilis Deus
The Immaculate Conception
Pope Pius IX - 1854

“We declare, pronounce, and define that the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin, is a doctrine revealed by God and therefore to be believed firmly and constantly by all the faithful.”

You are violating a “biblical principle”!

Matthew 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

In context Christ is speaking about teaching, true and false prophets. Not about conception.

How could holy God cause someone under the sin of Adam conceive a Holy offspring? You cited the text where the angel explained how He would accomplish that:

Lk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Only the fallen in Adam need a savior, Sinless people do not:

46 And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. (Lk. 1:46-47 NKJ)

If God is not Mary's savior then she lied, a sin.

Not so!

Two ways Jesus is our savior, He forgives our sins: and hecso by His grace preserve us from sin:

Mary was preserved by God from sin!

Because of Her immaculate Conception and being filled with the plenitude of divine grace Mary from her mother’s womb saw the beatific vision of God in heaven on His throne, and was consumed with love and desire for God and His will, she dedicated and consecrated and sacrificed her entire being to Him forever, and began interceding and imploring God’s grace and mercy!
And the coming of the messiah the savior of the world!

The pure of heart shall see God. Matt 5:8

Jesus was conceived pure and immaculate because Mary was pure and immaculate. As Job said “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one.” (Job 14:4).

Scripture says: “holiness befits thy house, O Lord” (Ps 93:5). Mary was Jesus’ “house” for 9 months so if holiness befits God’s house would not Mary be holy also? Just like the Ark and the Tabernacle she was set apart and consecrated to the Lord., the holy dwelling of God.

1 cor 3:17 …..for the temple of God is holy….. Mary is the temple, house, dwelling of God, God had need of Her to become man!

Jesus was conceived pure and immaculate because Mary was pure and immaculate. As Job said “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one.” (Job 14:4).

Song of Solomon 4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

Song of Solomon 6: 9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?
