I cant disclose the issues fully but I will ask for these:
1) for some reason that I know but don't fully understand my wife went into a depression over the car wreck. thus she made a poor decision to not allow jaci to be over.

2) therefore, monica has severed contact with tammy.

I understand how depression clouds judgement. I cant make them talk nor reconcile. jaci will be hurt by this, and the two adults.
 
You and your entire family remain in my prayers, jasonc.

Why is combat easier to handle than family issues? Simply because you love your family, and there are strong emotions involved with the family you love. Being a member of a family can sometimes really be the roughest 'job' in the world.

gah, at this time reconciliation isn't possible. their has been a line drawn. I will be going to counseling ,my wife doesn't want a Christian councilor . I refuse to go to a secular one. they don't see the Light and use the Word to heal or correct.
 
and kids suffer. jaci loves being here. :sad its sad. now , it will be harder for me to see her. I can go on my own and see them. I intend to. but well to cheer myself up. we joined jaci, monica and Nathan at the fair.jaci loved the live stock and fed the mini pig some fries. she giggled when the pig ate them
 
Can't say I know what you're going through, but God does, whatever the reason. He's always faithful, somehow He'll get you through. Praying for you and your family :)
 
So true, reba . Family members know what buttons to push, where precisely to 'dig' to cause the pain to ache all the more.

jasonc , in the meanwhile, yes indeed, go on your own to see the kids. They need you in their lives; they love you without reservation.

I take Nathan to my church for the youth group while I go to inner healing. that shouldn't be affected. inner healing is class at another church that has helped me a lot. its geared toward recovering addicts but there isn't anyone alive who wont be blessed by that stuff.

You are an inspiration to all of us, my friend. You seek the help & the fellowship for the areas of your life that concern you. You dearly love & help the younger people in your life who need you and love you. You work full time in addition to being in the military. For what it's worth, you have my complete respect, and will remain in my prayers always.

I wish I had the time to with them more. I just don't. I know that Nathan and jaci will have issues that is from monica's mistakes and also mine and my wife's .when I was young and lost. I told my dad off about his neglect. I hope Nathan doesn't do that when he hits his late teens and early 20's. but he will see where he wasn't taught and have to adjust. ere his graduation I will have to tell him my story., and why made him do certain things.
 
I think most of us would prefer to have more time to spend with our loved ones & friends as well. Reality doesn't always allow the additional tie, with only 24 hours allotted per day. Everything that happens to each of us impacts our lives in some form: some for a moment & is then gone; some for a longer while; some are remembered for years to come.

So even if time doesn't allow you to spend hours upon hours with the kids, being active in their lives is what matters most. When you choose to be with them, they will remember this. And this will have a positive impact on their lives.

I was thinking about my grandpa john a few days ago. when I read certain routes and pass by places I haven't been in years. I haven't forgotten. theres a wall that isn't noticed now from mcds on us1 but its seen easily from rt 60. I noticed that the first time I did this easy route . I remember the times when grandpa john would take us there and sit at the bench. he has been dead for twenty plus years and died when I was in basic. yet I remember him clearly. Nathan shall remember the fair day for some time.
 
Perhaps he will remember that day at the fair for the majority of his life. Even at my age (and I'm older than you), I recall moments spent with great-grandparents when I was very young (aged 3), and with my grandmother (she gave hugs that silently screamed 'I love you dearly') who died just before my 5th birthday.

Nathan and Jaci both will recall moments spent with you; you are in their hearts.

jaci lol. she says excitedly papa cheese! when she sees me. she did that last sunday at church. monica was there and I came in later. jaci said papa cheese. she also had to escort me to the car by finger when we left. it was cute. pastor loved it.
