Christ's Tomb Doesn't Need Deodorant

This past Wednesday night at bible study a person sitting next to me asked why in John 20:1-2 Mary Magdalene knew that the tomb of Jesus was empty even though it never stated that she actually went into the tomb, for the stone had already been rolled away from the entrance.

I believe that the Holy Spirit wrote the bible through the disciples and whatever discrepancies there are in the bible are purposeful to highlight a very important point. In this case I spent a few days asking God in thought why this discrepancy existed.

The Holy Spirit answered me last night and said that Mary Magdalene didn't have to go inside the tomb to know that Jesus wasn't there anymore simply because there wasn't any smell of death coming out of the tomb. Jesus had risen and therefore there was no decaying body to give off any foul stench.

Jesus Christ had indeed risen from the dead!

Equally, the Holy Spirit said that even though the roman guards were asleep they would have been awaken immediately if anyone tried to steal the body from the tomb simply because the stench of a decaying body would instantly give away any person trying to take the body out of the tomb.

Another point to consider is that all of Jesus Christ's burial linens were left behind. After Adam and Eve sinned they both noticed their own nakedness and hid from God. God then had to clothe them. When Jesus rose from the dead he shed his clothes (hint: left his burial linens behind) for he was sinless and not ashamed of his nakedness before God the Father. Jesus is now clothed in righteousness.

Jesus Christ was indeed sinless!

After Jesus Christ's resurrection Jesus appeared to the disciples many times. Jesus Christ walked with his disciples in the same manner that God walked with sinless Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden just before their downfall. The visits of Jesus to his disciples after his resurrection establishes the truth that Jesus is the same God that walked with the sinless Adam and Eve and equally the disciples are now sinless through a belief in Jesus Christ and the relationship between man and God is reestablished by God becoming man in the person of Jesus Christ!

Additionally in John 20:22 Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on all of his disciples (except Judas) to signify that Jesus Christ is God. Since it was God who created Adam from the dust of the ground and then breathed his breath into Adam to give him life. When Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on the disciples (hint: being born again) God, as Jesus Christ, was signifying that the disciples are now as sinless as Adam was after God had breathed life into him.

Jesus Christ is both man and God!

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and God will once again walk with you in this life through the indwelling Holy Spirit (hint: get baptized!). Ultimately you'll be walking with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit clothed in righteousness (hint: given a new body) in heaven forever!

God Bless

The "cave" cut into the rock also wasn't that big. Not much more than a closet. A person could be outside looking in and see it was empty.

Hi ugmug

In the book of Matt. 28:6, it states the angel told them, "Come, see the place where the Lord lay"
In the book of Mark, 16:4,5 it states they looked and the stone was rolled away..
And entering into the sepulchre...
In Luke 24:3, it states they entered in..

Sometimes we need another witness to clarify things a little deeper..

Mary Magdalene knew that the tomb of Jesus was empty even though it never stated that she actually went into the tomb, for the stone had already been rolled away from the entrance.
PLease read the following:
Mat 28:1-7
Now after the sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Mag'dalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulchre. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone, and sat upon it. His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men.
But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. Lo, I have told you."

The anger told them to look at the place where Jesus had been lain.
And he told them to go tell Jesus' disciples that he was risen.
Do you think they did NOT do what the angel told them or do you think that they looked at the place where Jesus had been lain in the tomb.
The women knew the tomb was empty because the looked into it to see just as they were told to do by the angel.

Ugmug,
this is a very loose collection of, thoughts, not scripture, concerning the Bible but they are so disjointed that they have no meaning and, as much as I hate to say this, somebody must, this post makes you look scripturally illiterate. Brother, please begin to study, in earnest. Your theology has no direction.
