God's One Righteous Man - He 'Don't Do' Facebook

With all the social upheaval occurring it is wise to consider God's word in regards to human cohabitation. All we need to do is look at the story of Noah's Ark and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.

In each of those stories of the bible it states that Noah and Lot were the only righteous men left. Isn't it interesting that God's only righteous man in each story didn't need a huge entourage to be righteous in the sight of God. Godly righteousness is an individual endeavor to please God whereas those who seek a sinful association gather to participate in sin, to not only pleasure themselves, but to pleasure the entire group of like minded sinners as well.

Jesus stated in Matthew 24:37-43 and Luke 17:28-30 that man's last days before God's final judgment will be like the days of Noah and Lot where people will gather together to participate in sinful activity. Today we have the Internet (hint: Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to act as a gathering place where people seek the association of others to engage in sin just like in Noah's and Lot's time.

In this day and age of social wickedness an example of God's one righteous man are all those who have the Holy Spirit indwelling within themselves. When a person becomes one with Jesus Christ through a belief in his death and resurrection then they become the 'one righteous man' in the story of Noah's Ark and in the story Sodom and Gomorrah.

A righteous man can stand alone in the midst of great immorality whereas all the wicked of this world need to be part of a gathering of like minded sinners (hint: the Internet).

Notice that when Jesus talks about the rapture in 'The Parable of the 10 virgins' Matthew 25:1-13 he states that each person has an oil lamp and is waiting for the door to open to begin the marriage banquet inside.

When the bridegroom arrives (hint: the Rapture) only those who have oil in their lamp (hint: believers in Jesus Christ filled with God's Holy Spirit) and have also lit their lamp will be allowed to participate in the marriage banquet.

When Jesus Christ returns to remove all of his believers from this world just before man's final judgment (hint: the Rapture), he won't be checking our Facebook account to see how many “Likes” we have.

The oil in the lamps in the 'The Parable of the 10 virgins' Matthew 25:1-13 is the indwelling Holy Spirit (hint: get baptized). If you are found lacking in this oil you'll be left behind along and you'll be included with all the other people in a 'sinners entourage' as a one world government emerges to carry out God's final judgment of mankind during the Great Tribulation (hint: read the book of Revelation).

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and rest assured that your lamp, as described in the 'The Parable of the 10 virgins' Matthew 25:1-13 is full of oil waiting for the doors to open (hint: the Rapture) to begin the wedding banquet with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit, in heaven forever.

Note:It is interesting that in Noah's time all the women were seeking sexual relations with demons (hint: devilishly looking men – i.e. tattoos) while it Lot's time all the men were seeking sexual relations with angels (hint: angelically looking/behaving men – i.e LGBT ). In the ends days of mankind it will be both!

We are living in those LAST DAYS!

God Bless

Well stated and illustrated concept. I appreciate the symbolism and applications here, however I would make one point; not so much a counterpoint, as I concur totally, but an "amendment to exception." Just as the Pharisees of Jesus time attempted to chastise Christ for His associations with the "unclean/immoral," in the dinner at Matthew's home,(Matt. 9:9-13), I would only caution that folks take a close look at what Ugmug is expounding here. It could easily be misconstrued as a statement that FB/social media must be avoided entirely rather than utilized as a platform to reach the lost. It would appear this is not at all what is being said; but rather lifting such platforms up and elevating them to idolatry status; as though the praise of mankind and approval of society have any spiritual benefit at all! These platforms are a great opportunity to "dine with those who are sick," as Jesus did in the home of Matthew; and can be used to progress the gospel. I would however caution that this IS NOT an ideal environment, and one must be extra careful how they approach such an attempt to minister in so doing. It can be very easy to be caught up in a bad situation and detrimental conversation....and it can be very easy to become misrepresented and thereby compromise both the witness, and the worldview of God; not to mention Christians in general. When in doubt, its best to "let God hash it out." Thanks Ugmug for your timely insight and God Bless!
