Verse of the day
Esther 4:14

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:14

Lord, I am so thankful that You value us so much. You knitted us all in our mother’s wombs with careful attention to every detail and each of us for specific purposes. We are all important to You. Lord, I pray that I will fulfill every assignment and purpose that You have created me for. I want to one day hear, “Well done good and faithful servant.” Also everything happens in God’s perfect timing. In this case, Esther came into her royal position as Queen during a difficult time where Haman was scheming to kill the Jews, which was her family. God put her in that position and at that time so that He could use her to give the Jews favor with the King. She only had to speak up for them.

'Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”'

Matthew 13:24-30

'Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.'

The parable of the weeds represents how there are true believers and those who are not but look like they are in the church. According to this parable, the only way to know for sure who is who is to let them all grow together and then at the end times, they will be separated. In other words, it is not for us to judge whether another person is truly a believer or not because we cannot truly know their hearts like God does. That is why He says here to not try to pluck out the gold-plated Christians because we could end up judging or harming someone who is genuinely saved. God gets to decided who is true and who is not, we do not.

'He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.” Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”'

Matthew 13:31-35

After reading the “Enduring Word” commentary on this parable, this verse came to mind, “10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (Zechariah 4:10). The works for the kingdom may have started off small, but the Lord is pleased to see His people obey Him and faithfully fulfill their assignments. It may start off small, but the Lord will complete the work. We just have to have faith, trust Him, and fulfill our assignments one day at a time. This also goes for our individual lives. We can get discouraged when it seems that things are taking a long time and we do not see a lot of progress, but the “seed will grow into a tree and birds will perch on its branches.” It will be beautiful when completed. We just have to take it one day at a time and rejoice in the small progress that we see, so that we do not grow weary or get discouraged. Hallelujah!! Thank You, Jesus!!!

' “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.'

Matthew 13:44-46

Lord, thank You so much for dying for us in order to redeem us. You gave Your life for us! Thank You, Jesus!! Thank You, also, for the treasure that You place inside of those who believe, which is Your Holy Spirit.

' “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. “Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked. “Yes,” they replied. He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”'

Matthew 13:47-52

This parable is very similar to the parable of the wheat and tares. We will remain undivided until the end of time when the Lord and His angels will come and sort us out. Once again, it is not our job as the people of God to decide who is a good fish and who is a bad fish. That is up to the Lord.

'When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.” And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.'

Matthew 13:53-58

Jesus’s own family were too familiar with Him as a man and a carpenter that they could not really see Him as the Lord. As a result, He was not able to do many miracles there because of their lack of faith. The same is true for us, too. People can be so familiar with our humanness because they knew us growing up or because they heard stories (or rumors) about us that they can not really see us as who we are in Christ. They may not realize that we are actually a completely different person. For some it may take time for them to understand that the changes that they have seen in us are permanent, yet others may only ever see us as the old version. We do not have to let how other see us or what they think of us weaken our faith. It does not matter what anyone thinks of us, but the Lord. He who was faithful to begin a good work in us, will carry it on to completion. Amen! Thank You, Jesus!

This is true even concerning the multitudes who are not familiar with us at all. i.e. anonymous internet.
Not many , maybe not any, miracles are recognized nor even permitted (by the rules and by the officials where we dwell being prevented).
So we meet together in small groups (not forum groups) talking about God and Jesus, and He calls an angel scribe and tells him to write down everything we say, a permanent record. (Malachi)
