Luke 6:17-19 King James Version (KJV)
17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

Luke 6:17-19 Revised Standard Version (RSV)
Jesus Teaches and Heals

17 And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; 18 and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. 19 And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came forth from him and healed them all.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

17 Jesus started become more and more popular not because of His teaching but because He could heal people would leave when the struggle became to hard, do we stick it out thru the hard times becomes this is when we grow closest to Christ.

18 Jesus had power over unclean spirits, these spirits became popular because satan was attacking because his time was almost up Jesus was changing things and bringing about grace.

19 Jesus had power over disease He is the great healer, He still heals today.

Do we stick it out thru the hard times becomes this is when we grow closest to Christ.
I personally believe as God's work in progress, it is the hard times that draw us to Christ. In 1 Cor 11:1 Paul tells us: Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

What did Paul suffer as the called of God we read of in Act 9:16? For I (Jesus) will shew him (Paul) how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. In Christ we are saved, but do we want God's best? Is there more?
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; IF so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. There's an old hymn "All God's Chillun Got Wings", but I'll add that all are not the bride of Christ; there's a price.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.

1Co 4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
1Co 4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
2Co 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
2Co 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
2Co 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
2Co 11:24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
2Co 11:25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
2Co 11:26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
2Co 11:27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

Blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2
