Many Christians here struggle with the issue of translation, myself included. For the most part we are equipped, and sometimes ill-equipped, with online resources such as concordances, bible dictionaries and other scholarly (scribe) tools.

It's nice to meet one who is fluent. Do you know more than three (languages)?

I've met and befriended other Multi-Linguals before. That's quite the Gift your G-d has bestowed, says the bird-brained member.

I can teach we this 2 languages that jesus was speaking using skype, please contact me.

May I take you up on your offer? There is much discussion going on here. Some is just chat (like our //Foodies Hearthstone area or even our //Humor Jokes and Games forum area) and other places are conducive to more serious discussion. I suspect you gravitate toward the later? In that event:

Here's the concept behind the inquiry:

It's about the teaching that
“God is spirit”, found in John 4:24: “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Jesus said this to a woman who thought that physical locale has a bearing on proper worship of God.

Also, I've heard Him called Holy (Kadosh?) and Breath (Pneuma?). We know Him as LORD (Master?) as well as 'Giver of Bread' (from colloquial English time).

Col 1:15 shows that He is called, "The Invisible God." Pardon as I seemingly switch gears and say that because in addition to being Spirit, God is a living being. We can get closer and closer to knowing Him. He becomes what His possessions, His people (and I believe that means 'us') need. That too is part of His nature, and part of a greater, unfolding Mystery. The Name of God. Those who try to follow in the footsteps of their 'Messiah' love to read on this subject.

Your thoughts, please? I would love to hear back from you on this and on other subjects.

Cordially,
Your Sparrow, the bird-brained member.

Hi PUMBA2 and welcome to CF :wave2

Is there any particular reason you know all these different languages? You must be a student of languages.

Can you share with us your belief in God and faith in Christ within your understanding of the Hebrew and Aramaic language of the scriptures?

Very interesting indeed, and welcome to the forums, but why does it state that you aren't a Christian then?

could you tell me about Psalm 103:5?

why do translations say mouth but "עֶדְיֵ֑ךְ" does not mean mouth?

Maybe I misunderstood?

Perhaps, our brother is here to drum up some business and is offering service over Skype? Such is the nature of language. Confusion. This valuable service will go into my toolbox but perhaps we should tarry here awhile before we receive such POWER?

I can teach we this 2 languages

Surely there is much room for learning. And yet, there is dust and crumbs accompanied by much asking in these shallow pockets. Breaking bread together is probably the best we may offer in return.

Slim pickings indeed. But looking is free and reading is a prized skill. Perhaps you may find gleanings during your stay here? Many a turn of phrase within the idiom is available for FWEE! In any case, you are welcome. Here is a key: Speak to us about The Christ, Messiah. This 'key' may open hearts, but probably not coffers. We are commanded to 'bring forth from store only that which is purposed,' (as wise servant/stewards) as I suspect you've heard already.

When combined with another commend, "Be ye wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove," an attitude is slowly formed; a position. Can it be? Feet placed on rock? But this attitude or position should not be formed in absence and / or silence, is this not the case? I am looking forward to hearing your reply.

Welcome!

hello. "עדיך" means העדים שלך, means your
Witnesses. "ך" in the end of the senance means "yours". there is not connection to the word "mouth". it can also mean "toward you" or "until you", from the word "עד" which mean "until". for example "האם זעקותיי מגיעות עדיך" does my screams ariving to you ears?

hello. I am jewish. I don't belaive that jesus was the messiah, becuase it's is written in the bible (isaiah 53 7 "He was oppressed, though he humbled himself and opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before her shearers is dumb; yea, he opened not his mouth. " means that bthe messiah should not speak. he should not teach new torah but be only in his rule of existing. nevertheless, I appricate jesus and have read the new testment as well.

Hi Pumba2
Welcome to the forum!

I have two thoughts for you:

1. The Messiah WAS silent.
Was Jesus not silent as He went from His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane all the way to the hill of Golgotha? I don't remember Jesus making any long comments or trying to preach.

He DID preach in His 3 years ministry....but how would any Messiah be able to teach if he did not speak?

2. My question to you is HOW could you like or appreciate Jesus if you don't believe He was God somehow? If He went to the cross thinking he was God...wouldn't He have to be a crazy man?
Jesus had to be who He thought He was....or He was a liar or crazy or delusional.

As to there being only one God...we here on this forum believe there is only one God. Can that God manifest Himself as a human so that humanity can better understand Him?

according the new testment, jesus never said that he was the messiah. when people ask him if is he the messiah, he was only saying "you were saying so"

another thing, the messiah should be silence all the way through. he should not teach new torah, but maybe just interpitate the torah in diffrent way, and showing his interpetaion by his life and acting, but never speaking about it. but according the bible should be 2 massiah. the one we speak about is the one who doesn't speak and die. the other will lead the whol world. unfortunately, jesus doesn't match to either one of the two. he was speaking a lot and died, so he can not lead the world right now.
