one reason i am a Christian is because of an older, wiser, Pentecostal Christian lady The Lord put in my life. Thing is...
in order for Him to put her in my life, she had to obey Him when He dealt with her heart. True story.
Now, I'm saved and...there are plenty of "Christians" who are just like anybody else in and of the world....and that's a sad thing, but remember, The Bible says "...many are called, but few are chosen..." and that "the harvest is great, but the laborers are few" and also speaks of "..wolves in sheep's clothing..." and false teachers, false prophets, apostate churches....
so, its a hot mess, at a certain level. LOL. at least...that's how it looks to the outside world, and that's often...how it plays out, even for true believers, at times. church people burn other Christians. now, there are sexual abuse scandals popping up all over the place...RCC, southern baptists, you name it. what gives? I don't know, honestly.
but...here's the thing...even if every.single.believer turned his and her back on Jesus...He'd still be Lord. that's the thing about Truth...it doesn't stop being the Truth just because some people ignore it, reject it, modify it, etc.
i wish I had solid answers for you, I really do. One Christian lady I called occasionally--I'm gay and it was just for convo, nothing more--changed her phone #, so she wouldn't have to talk to me (yes, I have Schizophrenia...that played a role). and people at one church I visited talked about me 'living off WELFARE!,' etc., when I wasn't and even if I had been...
wouldn't that have been all the more reason to be kind and uplift and help? apparently...not at that church.
so, I get where you're coming from, I do.
