1) Not the case in Atlanta.
2) Why not? I constantly condemn them on Facebook and the other forums I visit. They are disgusting and are making themselves to be a "voice" of Christianity and of God Himself. Why else am I here, but to respond to such a vile bunch?
I struggle with this, myself. While I concede that, perhaps, most muslims are peaceful and kind - the evidence strongly suggests that Islam has a "quirk": it is violent, and it teaches (or is based on) outdated, violent, intolerant beliefs.
It is very hard to draw a conclusion by...
I must be missing something, because this is the most foolish thing I've read by a "Christian" in some time. How does Christ's sacrificial act on the cross justify aborting a baby?
Gotta say it, I dislike the new forum software. I was looking forward to the change, but I'm not impressed at all.
Maybe there is a "skin" I can install that will make it look and perform better...
WE have no promise for tomorrow. I learned a lot from John Ritter. He was in "good shape", happily married to a fellow hollywood actor, nice family, career and money enough to assure his future and retirement.
THEN, with NO warning, he felt sick on the set of his TV show. Within, I...
This is laughable! So, they have a system in place to make him buy two tickets, but their system is so bad, that it does not assure the two tickets actually accomplish something!
We arm the police so they can stand between us and evil.
Why not teachers? Who do I want to see protected more than little kids?
Anyway, TOG, how many kids deaths would it take for you to support arming "every teacher in the USA"?
Ask the unborn the same question. You know, the ABORTED unborn.
My point: God is not here, we are. This is up to us.
I commend the actions of the ISD in the opening post. Responding from a position of weakness, as we so often do in the USA, resolves nothing. One child's life ended...
I try. I am SO BUSY with this Nuclear job - I was put in charge of, and am named "Project Manager" and single point of contact for the customer and their consulting engineers - i'ts my chance to show what I can do. I'm hoping that bigger, and better things are waiting after this.
My days...
It's a pleasure to say it, too. I'm trying a new church this weekend, too. Found a baptist church about 5 miles from home that looks like it might be 'home'.
Sure hope so....
And, my Nuclear project is going well. I'll be in Michigan most of December and proably part of January... but that works out 'cause my kids from Japan are gonna be home in Michigan for Thanksgiving. :) So, I buy a one-way ticket on a plane to Detroit and the company flies me home after...
Well, the Dragon was fun - as usual. Above is last few miles of one of my three runs on the Dragon itself - after a Harley pulled over for us.
Had some fun - got my first Dragon-Speeding-Ticket this year, so I'm officially one of the "Big Dogs"...
Every time I hear someone say, 'Don't worry, be happy' or "Life is good" or "Hey, smile, it's not that bad" - I want to tell THEM to to say that to my sister.
People are SO arrogant and ignorant - they have NO IDEA how awful this life is for some of us. (Talking about my sister, not me.)
It is so hard to see someone live with no happiness, only struggle and despair.
She can barely feed herself anymore, she can't do much of ANYTHING without an underpaid and over worked home employee helping her (and I mean EVERYTHING, think of all you do in a day - then think of needing help to...
Things for my sister are just plain bad. Her physical condition is worse, and she's having a hard time with, well, just existing in the group home.
It's just an awful end to a life. :(
Next week is my Dragon get together - most fun time of the year for me - it's hard to go into that knowing...
While I do agree we are an over-medicated society (how could anyone over the age of 40 or 50 not see it?), schizophrenia is a real condition, my son is schizophrenic. My father's mother also had the same affliction, true schizophrenia runs in families, that is, it has a genetic component...
