When I ask that question I actually mean to eat. To be honest with you I don't know how anybody but Timon and Pumbaa could actually call this a delicious meal.

After seeing so many contestants on that show get sick, what I would do is wash the bug first and then eat it or cook it first....dunno. But I know I would at least wash it first.Alright then so just out of curiosity what would you do in that situation?

It's not that I want to try them, but that in a survival situation, I most certainly consider them an option. I did run across an opportunity to try some chocolate covered ants on display at a store. I was 10 years old. I sampled a few. The chocolate was good and the ants were crunchy. That's all I remember. So you've never actually tried them but you want to try them? No offense or anything but I think that's gross! However I will go ahead and make that one of the options since I can still edit the survey.

I never tried them, but I probably would in a survival situation. They are popular food in many of the world's countries, especially Asia.
Insects are supposed to be a good source of protein. You have to know what you are doing, and how to cook them.
Here is an article on how to choose and cook insects in a survival situation.
...eat the chocolate...
...lobsters...
Yet these have to be boiled or steamed .not that its unhealthy just noting that we cringe over insects but eat mollusks, bottom feeders ,the later eats dead fish .the mollusks purify our water .red tide will affect them and you if you eat themI've eaten lobster. Tasty.

You can't eat uncooked shellfish ,lobsters and crabs have that gland that renders the meat poisonous ,that's they steam or boil them.ever heard the squeal in a seafood restaurant ?its the lobster in the boiling waterI've only eaten cooked lobster. I don't even trust uncooked lettuce.

That's an asian thing but most of that is squid, bland food ,and fish that can have worms etc.nevermind the mercury issue .I wonder why you can eat sushi raw though. Cooked sushi (and yes there is such a thing) is better than raw sushi, but both of them are right up there with eating insects to me.
