Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Good Morning Everyone! My name is Ohio Anglican and as you can guess I am from Ohio. I am currently exploring Anglicanism, being a former Free Will Baptist, then a non-denominational (which I still very much am). I live to serve him!

One of my favorite bible verses is:

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." 1 John 4:16 KJV

I love traditional hymns (and many "country" hymns) one of my favorite traditional hymns is Alleluia! Sing to Jesus! and another favorite is Blessed Assurance.

Greetings and welcome. I hope you don't become an Anglican and will pray that you don't...

I love the song Blessed Assurance and your favorite verse as well.

Have fun,

I remember growing up in my teen years grumbling because we sang hymns so often. That was around the time that I began listening to more contemporary and faster paced music. As I've gotten older though, I've found that many hymns are among my favorite songs. Songs like 'He Leadeth Me', 'Crown Him with many crowns', 'Trust and Obey', 'To God be the glory', 'Leaning on the everlasting arms', 'How firm a foundation', 'Jesus paid it all', 'All hail the power of Jesus name', 'Blessed assurance', 'And can it be' and 'What a friend we have in Jesus'. I could go on and on... they always bring a smile to my face. :)

Anyway, welcome to the forums!! 8-)

Thanks everyone! :biggrin

If you don't mind me asking BB, why shouldn't I become an Anglican? I am just exploring that possibility right now (with much prayer)... but haven't made a commitment just yet. I am not a liberal as is the current view of a small portion of the denomination. Also is this forum for all Christians or just evangelical churches/denominations? Have a blessed day.

Explore it with much prayer. I looked into the Anglican Church when I was a young believer it's priesthood and traditions remind me to much of the Roman Catholic Church.

But everyone is welcome here and it is pretty much open. We have a TOS you can look over at the top of the General Topics forum.

Glad to have you here.

God bless,

Robert
