This is an interest area of mine.
1 Corinthians 10:11 kjv
11. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
There was a great need for remembering the old Jerusalem, and what went on before (under the Law of Moses).
Most translations (even NKJ) use end of ages are come.
Revelation timelines:
There will be several differing opinions I am sure. The first parts of Revelation have happened, but about chapter 14 it appears it tends toward future.
We see through a glass darkly.
1 Corinthians 13:12 kjv
12. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Are we blind? No.
Revelation 21:2 kjv
2. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Coming down not totally arrived?
Acts 2:1 kjv
1. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3.And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Skip verses for now, but later we can look at where the righteous Jews came from and even later how the Ezekiel l dispersion prepared for the gentile inclusion.
14. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15. For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18. And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19. And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
There is a time span in Joel’s prophecy ( we can examine later,
Now to a redneck this day sounds like a New Jerusalem starting. Not the old Jerusalem of the law of Moses, but a New Jerusalem starting to come down from Heaven.
Abraham would say yes to this Jerusalem.
Is it completed yet? No.
Had it started on the way?
Sounds like things are beginning to happen, where there are new things happening.
Now if we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, there should be symbols in us to allow
Romans 1:20 to help us see:
Revelation 22:1 kjv
1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, andyielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
At this point I will hopefully let the spirit of God lead. If I seek to do good evil lies lose at hand.
For it is God who is the good one. I am flesh.
Human anatomy (made in the image of God)
Cerebellum is like a tree planted on either side of a river of spinal fluid. This river starts from the clouds (cerebral cortex) where Jesus ascended to.
Flows past the tree on either side of this river.
Symbolism is tough to let God do. We want to be the source. God reveals. Hopefully we can manage to look into things hidden from the foundation of the world.
