Hello everybody

This is my first post in any Christian forum, ever!

I spent the last six months writing up a text about intercovenantalism. I would very much appreciate any feedback on this text. The full text is longer than is permitted on this forum and so i include the abridged version, inline, below. If you would like to read the full version, please visit my website.

Intercovenantalism

By the grace of God, salvation is found by faith in the blood of Jesus, so that nobody can boast of good works. The person who receives Jesus is justified as perfect according to Law and through faith will be exempted from judgement according to any earthly law. Intercovenantalism is supported by over one hundred and twenty Bible verses that will be interpreted in the forthcoming book, Love Not Law.

Jesus said, “Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.” A believer is justified according to Mosaic Law and so if all of Christ’s people are to be justified according to Mosaic Law, then the Law of Moses must remain in effect until “all is fulfilled”. Justification by faith would not be possible if the cross had abrogated (abolished) the Law. Jesus said that during the last days, many would practice lawlessness. The existence of lawlessness necessitates the existence of a fully active Mosaic Law.

When Paul was not writing about a believer’s former legal status, the apostle always wrote about Mosaic Law, using the present tense. This is because Paul believed that the Law had remained in effect. The book "Love, not Law” will detail why Mosaic Law must have remained in effect for the blood of Jesus to indeed be the substitute payment for a man’s sin.

The cross was the monumental act of Christ’s passion for His people. Many Christians hold up the cross as their singular hope. However, hope is not found in Christ’s past; hope is found in the future coming of Christ’s reign as king of Israel. Most Christians have thrown the Jewishness of the baby Jesus out with His bathwater. They have failed to fully comprehend that Christ’s adherence to the highest interpretation of Jewish Law is what justified Himself and what continues to justify believers in the righteous bathwater of an active Mosaic Law. The law of Christ and the law of Moses will both have roles to play during the conclusion of man’s long rebellious history against God.

From the heavenly Tabernacle, Jesus administered the ratification of the law of Christ in the heavens, not on earth. A believer could thereafter be justified according to Mosaic Law and be betrothed in marriage to the risen Jesus. The believer would then be subject to the heavenly law of Christ and become a part of Christ's heavenly kingdom to come. Conversely, on earth, the ratification of the New Covenant marriage and the correlated law of Christ has not yet taken place. At His second coming, Jesus will resurrect His people and change them to assume the secondary Adamite form that forms their marriage to Jesus. This partial earthly ratification of the New Covenant law of Christ will exist within the borders of Israel. The New Covenant marriage will then be ratified nation by nation throughout the duration of the entire millennial reign. Christ’s final battle against sin will end with all people of the millennial reign united under a fully ratified New Covenant law of Christ. The unjustified Adamites will then be resurrected to stand trial according to earthly law/Law and then after these trials, the Law of Moses will be abolished and New Jerusalem will descend to earth. Jeremiah 31:31–34 confirms this timeline.

The Law of Moses was implemented as a stop-gap solution in a world that was submerged by evil. The Mosaic Law has always served to highlight the sinful nature of man. However, if God continue to impose any form of legal system upon His creation, then unconditional love might never be afforded the opportunity to flourish. God knows that if the people of New Jerusalem are to live by the love of Christ, then all law must be abolished. The body of Mosaic Law will finally be buried when New Jerusalem descends to earth. New Jerusalem is a two-thousand-kilometer-tall garden city with a two-hundred-foot-tall wall surrounding it. In new Jerusalem, God will be the divine arbiter of love, not law.

At the second coming, many decades after the third temple is built, Jesus will resurrect and change His people to become second Adamite immortals who will be bound to Him according to the new covenant, marriage law, of Christ. Jesus will then assume the role of king of Israel and be inaugurated as high priest of the earthly Tabernacle (and subsequent Ezekiel temple). Jesus will then ratify the New Covenant marriage law of Christ within the borders of Israel. His immortals will bow the knee and be judged by Jesus to assess what their roles might be within the borders of Israel. These immortals will help Jesus to continue the earthly fulfillment of the heavenly interpretation of Mosaic Law. Israel will become a paradise of living water flowing from the Ezekiel temple.

The modern-day Christian, whether justified or otherwise, believes that the Law of Moses has been abolished and therefore finds himself unable to fully appreciate the legal mechanism by which he has been justified. The “legalistic” New Testament Bible verses will make little sense to him. The resulting confusion of being justified according to a law that he believes has been abolished leaves him unable to explain to anybody the true reason why legalism is evil. He will also find it impossible to explain to an unbeliever, why justification is necessary — or even possible — in a world without Law. He will find it difficult to incorporate the full extent of God’s grace into his life. He will proclaim that he has been saved by faith, but likely still have a niggly feeling that he needs to earn his salvation.

Eternal life exists behind the edible veil of Christ’s flesh. Paul wrote that strong believers “eat all things” while their weaker legalistic brethren “eat only vegetables." The vast majority of justified believers are spiritual vegans. They do not comprehend that the only possible way to prevail over God’s earthly Law is found in Christ’s blood. They do not comprehend that faith is only an instrument in the salvation of the blood that affords access to the strong meat of Christ's flesh. The weaker legalistic brethren choose to eat their way around the plate of strong meat. The stronger doctrine of intercovenantalism, brings about spiritual cannibalism.

Hello lovenotlaw.
Paul wrote about the law being in effect because sin was committed against our Savior and sin remains in effect until it's repented of. There is no "substitution" for repentance.

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psa.119:165

I don't know why you're here.

If so, the above sounds interesting but you'd have to post it in one of the forums to get replies.
This forum is just for welcoming you.

Greetings, Love not Law, and welcome to the forum.

I think in order to debate this here you would have to provide supporting scripture for each assertion you make. Making reference to the Mosaic law is to make reference to ceremonial law, and if you think this is still in force you have a problem, and it's the same problem most Jews face today in getting too hyper-literal with their faith: There is no temple standing anymore, and with no temple there are no sacrifices being made, no offerings are being provided for it, or for the Levitical service, and no tithes are being made to sustain it. The "Mosaic Law," if this is what you are including, cannot and will not be sustained in any sense until the Millennial reign, and even then it will likely not be sustained in the same way as in OT times, so I'm not sure there's much support for your claims, and I would have to see exactly which scriptures you are using to support them before I could decipher where I think you are making your mistake.

God bless, and welcome once again.
