Astounding news has come out concerning one of the most horrific shootings in U.S. history. As it turns out, NEARLY TWENTY officers stood in a hallway just outside of the classrooms during the attack at the elementary school, and they waited there for over forty-five minutes before finally using a key to open the door.
The commander believed that the gunman was barricaded in a classroom and that the children were in no danger. Chillingly, teachers and children called 911 for help continually, including a girl who pleaded, "Please send the police now", only to be killed as the police dawdled outside.
Somehow, the shooter was able to enter the school through the propped open door with over sixteen thousand rounds of ammunition. Basically, the shooter was able to stay in a classroom full of kids for over 45 minutes as he slowly killed all of them. 19 officers were out in the hall thinking he was trapped and firing randomly. Kids inside the classroom were calling 911 and begging for help.
Consider this: the teacher and all the children in the classroom were left for dead. How can these officers live with themselves? How can they look in the mirror in the morning knowing that they had the chance to save these lives, yet did nothing? The story is nearly incomprehensible. How is it possible that the law enforcement was so horrifyingly ineffectual?
