[__ Prayer __] Pro-Life Day of Silence

Where I am, tomorrow is the Pro-life Day of Silent Soliditary. I ask for prayers that tomorrow's day of silence will bring enlightenment that was not there before and save lives both physically and eternally.

In particular, I am requesting a special prayer for one person who is participating in China at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I don't know the exact extent of Chinese suppression, but I will be praying for this person's safety for this day. I ask for others to do so as well.

Yes, indeed very risky doing almost anything in China. Although a friend went there recently and said that it's opening up to the west more, but there's still heaps of oppression. It certainly will be interesting to see where China is in 10, 20 years time.

Jason, the one child policy is only active in the cities. If you go to the rural areas the one child policy is not enforced.

Cheyenne, I will definately be praying for your friend's saftey. She is exposing herself to quite a lot of risk. However, if she's in Hong Kong it shouldn't be too bad. That's one of the most capitalist and Western parts in Asia. But still, China's not very far away.

Yeah. Only one person from China signed up last year in Shanghai. They didn't sign up again this year. Hopefully, it's just a coincidence.

I don't actually know them personally; the school just shows up on the site where one would register. But I do hope that China stays far enough away for the time being.
