This discussion is a study of the biblical term “Receiving the Holy Spirit”.
I would encourage anyone who desires to grow and be filled with the power to live and be a witness for Christ, as well as receive a spiritual language for personal edification, and devotion, whether for prayer or worship, to ask the Father for this wonderful gift.
Jesus calls this gift, The Promise of the Father, and its for all born again Christians who desire it.
And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:4-5
For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:39
Some have tried to shed doubt on this baptism claiming it was just for a few select Christians and is somehow, for whatever reason, not for the Church today.
I ask each person to read and address the scriptures given and pray and ask God for yourselves to confirm this message.
Amen
