Refiner's fire, turn me gold,
That I may grace the Prince of Old.
And in so doing, burn me through
So I may be pleasing to You.

Refiner's fire, stop my heart
And purify these ashen lips.
Complete in me what You start
Until this tight skin tears and rips.

Refiner's fire, turn me gold,
That I may grace the Prince of Old.
And in so doing, burn me through
So I may be pleasing to You.

Refiner's fire, light my soul
Within the shadows hidden long.
Fill with heat the gaping hole,
And I'll sing sweet the Great King's song.

Refiner's fire, turn me gold,
That I may grace the Prince of Old.
And in so doing, burn me through
So I may be pleasing to You.

Refiner's fire, from ashes still,
Comes a form of beauty bright
Walking out from blazing will
To light the sun and kill the night.

Refiner's fire, turn me gold,
That I may grace the Prince of Old.
And in so doing, burn me through
So I may be pleasing to You.

Scars of cleansing on her face
Behind her beauty cannot hide,
For here she stands, saved by grace.
Refiner's fire births Your bride.

Refiner's fire, turn me gold,
That I may grace the Prince of Old.
And burning golden shall I be,
Evermore in love with Thee.

"Refiner's fire birth My Bride". Excellent. I sense you have been through a lot of trials, as I have. This is so excellent that you felt led to write this in praise of God after all that suffering. And see it for what it really is.

Particularly liked the bit about the ashen lips, too.

And "stop my heart".

There is also many more phrases I liked here. Very well done.

Having the refrain, it almosts or maybe does read like a song.

Roxanne God bless

PS. Hope you don't have too many more fires to go through.
