Many of my christian friends believe that animals do not have souls. However, Rev 16:3 states "And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea." The word used here for the soul is the same word used ubiquitously throughout the NT referring to human souls, in fact it is the only word used for human souls in the NT. Also, Job 12:10 states "In whose hand [God] is the SOUL of EVERY LIVING THING, and the breath of all mankind." I know there is even more scriptural evidence, which I will post when I have more time.
The question is, can anyone give me any SCRIPTURAL evidence that animals do NOT have souls?
Thanks!
