Under President Biden the US dollar has been extremely strong. That's good for investors, US consumers, and the country as a whole as it keeps the dollar as the dominant currency on the world market.
So what does Donald plan to do if elected? Not only does he plan to give more tax breaks to the super rich and mega corporations, he and his team also want to devalue the US dollar....
on purpose! Apparently they're thinking a weaker dollar would help with foreign trade, but they're also ignoring that a weaker dollar would spur massive inflation, cause global markets to move to other currencies, trigger more trade wars (as other countries take counter-measures), and make US securities less valuable (thereby increasing our debt).
Trump trade advisers plot dollar devaluation
Economic advisers close to former President Donald Trump are actively debating ways to devalue the U.S. dollar if he’s elected to a second term — a dramatic move that could boost U.S. exports but also reignite inflation and threaten the dollar’s position as the world’s dominant currency.
Add in Donald's plan to add massive tariffs to imports (which are paid by consumers), and we get a clear picture of his economic vision....run the economy exclusively for the super wealthy and mega corporations, massively raise costs for the American middle and lower classes, and severely weaken the US dollar.
Why in the world would anyone not in the top 1% vote for such nonsense?
