Yes, so we see there are many antichrist's, as well as the Antichrist who is to come....
1 John 2:18
...which is s reference to a singular individual that Paul refers to as; the man of sin, the son of perdition and the lawless one. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4,8
Clearly Satan. The only other reference to the son of perdition is in connection with Judas, in whom Satan entered. And since we know Judas ain't coming back to human flesh, the only remaining party to observe for "the son of perdition" is Satan.
Paul also pinpoints Satan in 2 Thes. 2:9, again.
I have zero issues with Satan being the spirit of the anti-Christ because Satan is against Christ. Same with any devil of his family, are anti-Christ spirits. No sense prodding around in the dark looking for other wicked spirits as anti-Christs when we have plenty of disclosures of Satan and his messengers as wicked spirits against Christ shown by scriptures, abundantly.
Daniel calls him the prince who is to come. Daniel 9:2
JLB
Daniel 9 says the people of the prince. We know there is a world full of people under the influences of Satan, called unbelievers.
Satan is also termed a prince, Eph. 2:2. Jesus also addresses the prince of this world, which would be Satan.
At some point you may see there is an entire narrative of spirits that abide in mankind that are addressed in various ways in the scriptures. It's NOT an account of only mankind. It's an account of mankind in which Satan and his minions have their hold also, in the flesh. That's why it's pointless to expect any individual man to be Satan or the anti-Christ because Satan is that anti-Christ.
