Thanks for posting. Interesting topic. How do we really know God is talking to us?
May I suggest that none of us can prove we are actually listening to God. Even Pope Francis or Billy Graham or even you.
Yes you can say those that only focus on scripture in their life are listening to God. Yet there are so many interpretations. Look at the debates on in this forum. Some believe in the gift of tongues for example. Some don't. Who is listening to God better?

We can only know who is listening to God when what one speaks lines up with the full context of scripture. There are no private interpretations as all truths are revealed by the Holy Spirit.
