Dont worry to much about the formatting. I will need to convert it all to HTML anyway.Yes. This is FORM. I can't get it right on here.
Not sure how to get my Word doc on here. I might have to email it to someone that knows how...
Let's not pay attention to form right now.
Hi T,
The above which you posted is closer to my Word document.
When I post my Word document onto here, I lose the form.
How did you get it to look this way?
How could I post onto here without losing the form?
(or format)
i like the concepts you added - i like the way wondering words concepts - she has a clear concise easily understood manner of wordingwondering
What do you and others think of my post 84?
I'm not the best writer at times... I work and function in a world filled with lists and bulleit points with an occasional drawing on the white board or power point, and I've lost my ability to articulate the way I used to.i like the concepts you added - i like the way wondering words concepts - she has a clear concise easily understood manner of wording
Can't I just email you my word ?when i use word i have to reformat too - it's a lot of work to do
if you have a screen shot i can reformat for you to match your screen shot
otherwise i will start reformatting now and you can point out any changes you would like
I'm good with the above.1. Grant others the courtesy to be understood and acknowledge their views. As best as one is capable, speak truth in love.
Matthew 7:12, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
1.1 Always tag a member that you mention in any thread. (@ plus name)
1.2 Resist the urge to make it personal when discussing differences. Address the issue, not the person.
1.3 Do not misquote or misrepresent another member. Do not state a negative
opinion about a member’s denomination, leaders, founders, or the
veracity of a member’s faith.
Exodus 20:16
1.4 No trolling. No flaming or remarks used to intentionally upset members. Intentional disruption of this nature may result in immediate termination of your membership.
We understand the body of Christ is very diverse. It is this sites goal to facilitate an environment where charity and humility rises above hostility and division.
There will always be a rule that no member will be terminated on the sole descression of a single Administrator.I'm good with the above.
1.4 scares me a little because I feel like we all say things that might upset a person...so IMMEDIATE termination?? I guess intentionally is the operative word...but it seems to be so subjective... Only YOU know what you want to do with disrupters, so if you've thought of this....All is fine.
Agreed. There will always be a rule that no member will be terminated on the sole descression of a single Administrator.
The only exception to this would be a new member who hits it hot and heavy right from the get go. I'm not going to allow an obvious troll to disrupt the board.
I'm going to re-write the staff expectations to outline this a bit more clearly. I can throw a link in the TOS to it for easy access.
Just know that we understand when folks are just having a bad time in their life, and were willing to work with them. But they have to be willing to work with us.
What I've learned is this. If we let aggression run unbridled, we will never meet the goals and ministry of this forum. The point system doesnt really work because it doesnt change hearts. It only teaches people how to slap another with a smile on their face...
If you think best.Agreed.
Please confirm .... should I then go ahead and change Section One to your post 84?
Truthfrees is nice enough to help me with the technical aspects, so let me know if you're decided or still want more input from others...
I think we should move ahead. If you think best.
i like the concepts you added - i like the way wondering words concepts - she has a clear concise easily understood manner of wording
For StoveBolts and TruthfreesI think we should move ahead.
Will fix draft tomorrow to your specs and do a final posting.
CC Truthfrees
Basically, it will become a "Page" on this site.FOR Truthfrees
Hi TF,
The sample I posted on no. 96 was achieved by saving the document as "web page".
It's the best I could do to get it onto here. It needs adjusting but it's minimal, and it could be done, I've tried it.
My question for both you and StoveBolts would be whether or not THIS is what is necessary????
IOW, HOW does the TOS get posted?
Does it get posted from here?
Does it get posted from a Word document?
This needs to be known before we go ahead because the method is important to know...
This is exactly what I mean.Basically, it will become a "Page" on this site.
I will copy all of the text from the final draft and run it through an HTML converter.
Once I have the text in html, I will tweak to my liking and when complete, I will create a new page and put our old TOS to rest.
Dont spend too much time with the formatting. I can handle that end and it's less I have to strip out to get a clean html document.
If it makes it easier on you, just copy paste from your word document and I'll do the rest. This is exactly what I mean.
I saved it as a web page NOT as html.
Is that what I should be doing??
Should I save it normally, post it here and then YOU handle it? It'll need a good deal of work in that case,,,more than in my post no. 96...
But, basically, it'll just be fixing the format...
Shouldn't take that long....
