Hi donadams

Friend the entirety of the 'church' is held together by the Spirit. He is the guarantee that every believer is indwelled with. It is the work of the Spirit that we all (born again believers) made one.

Now, if you've got some bull or cyclical that confuses or obfuscates that truth, I'd be questioning that... and not what God's word says.

God bless,
Ted
A few simple questions
Is Jesus Christ the king?

Please Explain

Matt 17
When reading Matthew 17:1-13 this is a transfiguration and a vision that Peter, James, and John his brother saw.
Matthew 17:1-13. This is only a transfiguration/vision as Moses and Elias are still in their graves awaiting the last day resurrection, John 3:13, John 5:28-29.

Moses represented the Jewish law and Elias represented the Jewish prophets. God's voice out of heaven declared that Jesus is the Son of God in whom He is well pleased. This indicated that the law and the Prophets must now give way to Jesus who has replaced the OT covenant (law) with a new covenant of Gods grace. Jesus is the completion of the law and the fulfillment of the prophecies in the OT.

Peter, James and John were three that were chosen by Jesus to go up the mountain with Him as they were closer to Jesus then the other Disciples as Jesus knew they would keep that vision and come to understand this after Jesus was risen from the dead.

Sorry Matt 17:24-27 Jesus identified himself with Peter to the exclusion of the other apostles

Notice how Jesus allows Peter to act as intermediary also

Scripture please as we are all called to take the Gospel message out into the world, beginning with the Apostles.
Only the apostles lead into all truth John 16:13 then commanded by Christ teach all men Matt 28:19

All men “the people” you and me

You really need to explain this one !!!
According to Lk 2:30 Jesus is our salvation and Mary ever virgin brought him forth!

Lk 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Lk 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Mary was never a virgin after the birth of Christ for she and Joseph married and had sons and daughters.

Luke 1:26-38 Gabriel announces to Mary that of Christ's birth through her as she found favor in God. This all came about before her and Joseph were married so Joseph was not the biological father of Jesus.

Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Notice in this verse that only Mary is mentioned as normally people would say the son of Joseph and Mary. Jesus had four half brothers, James, Joses, Juda and Simon and some sisters, but it's not known how many sisters he had or what their names were. The reason they were all half brothers an sisters is because Joseph was not the biological father of Jesus.

Mary's descent comes through David's son Nathan, Luke 3:31. To fulfill God's promise to establish David's throne forever, God honored Nathan by making him the ancestor of the promised King (Messiah) who would sit on David's throne throughout eternity, Luke 1:31-33. Mary having no brothers to inherit the throne the inheritance would come to her first son being Jesus.

This is why God found favor only in Mary as still being a virgin before she married. Joseph descent from David was broken in being heir to the throne of David as one of his ancestors named Jeconiah (Coniah) was so evil God cursed him and his descendants from ever sitting on the throne of David, Matthew 1:11, 12; Jeremiah 22:24-30; 1 Chronicles 3:17. This doesn't mean that Joseph was evil, but means none of his children could ever sit on the throne of David.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Yes the apostles those who Christ gave the administration of his kingdom lk 22:29
